Easy, Affordable & Quick Recipes : Bruschetta With Mozzarella and Tomatoes (*this recipe is suitable for vegetarians)

Hi darlings! I decided to start a new regular feature on my blog. This feature will be focused on easy and quick recipes. I'm a foodie. I think I've always been one. A typical Taurus lady, you could say. I love to cook and bake. I don't need to mention that I love to eat, I think you can all see that, wink wink. Cooking is one of those things I can never get tired of. I do enjoy trying out new recipes and preparing food. However, like everyone else on this planet, I don't always have all the time I want or need for cooking on my disposal. Just like everyone else, sometimes I have to make do with a limited amount of time. When things get a little hectic or when I'm simply tired, sick or occupied with something, I like to rely on easy & quick recipes. Today I was on a phone with a friend and I mentioned how much I love to prepare Italian food. I'm a  big fan of Italian cuisine. Not just because it's delicious, but because most Italian dishes don't...

What I'm reading at the moment + What I Wore for IWD (One Skirt, Two Outfits)

Image
Spring is in the air. Well, sort of. It's kind of cold, but we won't let stop us, will we? We can always snuggle with a nice book. Speaking of which, this is the book I'm reading at the moment. All the Kings's Men by Robert Penn Warren. Published in 1964, it is considered a classic. Warren even got a Pulitzer for this novel. So far, this novel didn't disappoint me. It talks about a rise of a politician Willie, but the story itself is told from a perspective of Jack, who works for Willie. The narrative pattern resembles that of The Great Gatsby. I do like the way this book is written. The style of writing makes me think of Faulkner. I haven't finished it yet, so I can't give you a recommendation or anything like that. Are you reading anything at the moment? I have to level with you and say that I haven't done as nearly as much reading this month as I usually do. I could say it is because I had a lot of medical exams, but that would be just an excuse. Th...

Illustrating a Catwalk Look From Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2018 (Fashion illustration of the Day: Watercolour)

Image
Hello there! Today I will share two of my fashion illustrations with you. I illustrated two outfits from Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2018 collection. Both of these designs are predominately yellow and black. I think I see a trend here. If you recall, the last runaway fashion illustration I shared was of a black and yellow dress from Miu Miu collection. Well, if designers like the same colour combo as myself, I'm not complaining. I've always loved yellow, so I'm only happy that it's trending. The reason why I decided to illustrate two outfits from this Louis Vuitton collection is because the collection impressed me greatly. I must admit that in the past, I didn't really pay that much attention to this brand, but this collection made me see the error of my ways. French design is often beautiful, and this collection is really top notch. As I explain, I always watch the collection I want to illustrate on YouTube, and while I was watching this one, my jaw litera...

Illustrating a Runaway Look From Miu Miu Autumn Winter 2018 Collection (Fashion Illustration of the Day: Watercolour)

Image
Today I'm sharing with you a new fashion illustration of mine. The medium is pencil and watercolour on paper. I illustrated a look from Miu Miu Autumn Winter 2018 collection. Miuccia Bianchi Prada is a very talented designer and I for one have always loved her designs. Perhaps the devil does wear Prada (who knows?), but that shouldn't stop us from admiring this brand. Miuccia's collections never disappoint, but this one was particularly eye-catching. This Miu Miu collection was so bold and beautiful that I simply had to illustrate a look from it. I opted to illustrate this black midi dress with a bold yellow lettering. Scroll down if you want to see the painting process and read my thoughts on this collection.  Illustrating this dress was a lot of fun. I'm really not an expert when it comes to watercolour, I'm much more knowledgeable about oil and acrylic paints but I'm going to share my painting process just in case someone is interested. 11 Ways To Style a Dusty Pink Skirt For Spring (Inspiration For Both Warm and Cold Spring Days)

Image
Spring is in the air. Maybe not quite literally. As I explained, we have snow in the air right now, but it doesn't matter. The calendar says that Spring is here and I want to believe the calendar. So, here are 12 ways to style a pink dusty skirt. I think most of these tips can be applied to any pink skirt really, but I choose dusty pink for a reason. The reason is that I have one dusty pink skirt in my closet that I wear all the time. I must have worn it for a hundred times. I think I only paid something like ten euros for it. Best purchase ever! I wore this skirt with everything, from high heels to sneakers. I wore it when I went hiking and I wore it for weddings. It's one versatile skirt. Makes me think I need more dusty pink items. Who knows maybe I even have some in my closet? I need to look for them. Bottom line is that by wearing a certain clothing item often, learning how to restyle it in different ways we can end up shopping less often and being less wasteful. Shoppi...
