Inspired by post/ Nadahnuta s objava....(Ivana Marković)

It's time for my favourite feature on this blog. This will be my last Inspired by post this month. My hand is not healing well, so I won't be doing any drawing/painting any time soon. It's been two weeks since my art related hand injury and my hand still hurts. Who knew drawing was so dangerous? Anyhow, I painted this one with acrylic paints, the medium is acrylics on cardboard. I planned to apply another layer of paint, but I had to leave it as it is because my hand is in no state for painting. I do love this outfit I illustrated. It is so feminine, isn't it?  The girl I illustrated is a dear fellow blogger Ivana  from blog bambolai . Check  her outfit  here  to see the inspiration behind this painting.

Details from my home (Easter edition) / Detalji iz moga doma ( Uskršnje izdanje)

Details from my home is not a very frequent feature on my blog (for a number of reasons). For one, the decor in my home doesn't change that often. Moreover, I often include photographs from my home when I do book reviews or when my publish my art. So, you see bits of my home anyway. However, this Easter I did some home made decorations so it seems like a good idea to share them here. In addition, I wanted to show you how I decorated my Easter eggs this year. I tried many different techniques but my favourite one is a traditional one. This traditional technique  consist from decorating the eggs with plants ( the eggs are placed in a pair of tights to secure the plants in place) and then cooking the eggs in onion peels so you get this (in my opinion) absolutely gorgeous colour. If you want to see the results of this traditional method, scroll down.  If you want to see my previous post from this (Details from my home) feature you can check them out here , here  , here ...

Today I've been thinking about love....Danas sam razmišljala o ljubavi....

Today I've been thinking about love a lot. I've been thinking how it is probably the most misused word ever.  It is highly probably that all of us misused it at least a number of times. We use this word when we feel that we're entitled to something or someone. We use this word when we want to say that something or someone makes us feel good. We use it to say we need or want something or someone. We use it all the wrong ways sometimes. Perhaps that's how it must be until we learn to use it the right way. Sometimes love is the wrong word to use, but at times it might be the only thing we got.  Love is a word that has its own power. People respond to it. All the same, it is a tricky word to use. Using this word can sometimes mean you're taking the easier way. Preciously because there is magic in this word, it can backfire. You might say that there are many kinds of love and that is certainly true. Still, that doesn't change the fact that word love is often used ...

How to wear big puffed sleeves? / Kako nositi velike napuhane rukave?

How to wear big puffed sleeves without looking like a Disney princess? Not that there is anything wrong with looking like a Disney princess, but maybe you have been wondering how to wear dramatically puffed sleeves on everyday basis. Actually, I've been asking myself the same question. I'm very keen on this trend of oversize sleeves, but figuring out how to wear them in a casual way proved to be something of a challenge. When I bought this dress ( I'm not very keen of shopping, but when I saw this one I just had to have it), the answer presented itself. Denim. Yes, denim. That magical ingredient that instantly makes every outfit look more casual. Nothing helps dress down a look than a piece of denim, be it a pair of jeans (or jeggings in this case) or a denim vest.  I knew that this dress won't be long enough for my liking when I bought it, but I figured that I can wear it with jeans...and what you know, it looks great worn with jeggings. It looks like I found my ...
