DIY stuff / uradi sam projekti (once a bookworm)

Once a book worm, always a book worm DIY MORE INFORMATION ABOUT PAINTING WITH TEXTILE CLOTHES How to paint with textile (fabric) paints? Well if you buy the right kind of paint, it should be quite easy, Textile paints come in many shape and forms. If you want to draw and paint on clothes, then it is best to buy a more thicker paint, one that will enable you to paint with them in the same way you would with  acrylic paints . As I have explained many times on this little place of mine, the process is fairly simple.   You draw or paint and then you wait for it to dry. Is it really as simple as that? Yes, it is! The more experience you have with arts and crafts in general, the easier it is bound ti be. There isn't any difference when it comes to using textile and regular paints.  In fact, painting with textile paints is quite  similar  to using acrylic paints (which some people use to paint on clothes). There are basically two ways to paint on...

outfits of the week/ odjevne kombinacije tjedna

How are you doing? I've had my ups and downs this week... that's how life is most of the times. Right now I'm feeling really sad about all the people who have lost there homes in the floods and I cannot even imagine how those who have lost their loved ones must be feeling. The situation is as I have pointed put in my last post quite serious in many areas of Croatia, BIH and Serbia. In life what can we really do but try to do our best....get involved in some way and hope for the best. At least tomorrow will bring the end of the rains and hopefully the worst is behind us. Today is Sunday and that means it's time for outfits of the week! Mostar- photography/ fotografija

Image
Lately I haven't been posting photographs. That doesn't mean I have given up on photography or that I don't take photographs any more. Sometimes we simply cannot spare the time for the things we love and in the end there are only 24 hours in a day. In life we have to come to terms with the fact that we cannot do everything and that there are things we cannot change. Not that that should stop us from trying, but we must be aware that we won't always be able to achieve everything we have hoped for.  Finding out when to give up and when not to seems to me the most trickiest thing is life. The weather has continued to be rainy both in Croatia and BIH. I have arrived in Mostar yesterday and it is horrible to think that today in BIH more than 20 lives were lost in the floods. Situation is quite serious in many areas and neighboring countries. Sadly the absence of weather suitable for this time of year has had tragic consequences. It seems trivial to complain about the c...

In Croatian bura is what we call the cold northern wind. It will make you feel quite cold, but once it has cleared the air, the island look so near and it seems you could touch them with your hand. I love that... Kad bura račisti zrak, otoci se čine tako blizu. Obožavam to. sa ponistre se vidi Brač, barem sa moje, naravno vidi se tako dobro samo kad je bura /island Brač- view from my window once the cold wind has cleared the air  krov medicinskog fakulteta, more, Brač view from the window, sunset/ pogled sa prozora, zalazak sunca

nail polish/ lak za nokte---- Boujurs 10 jours

Image
Indoors: 1. no flash 2.with flash 3. no flash 4. with flash outdoors I've had good experience with Boujurs 10 jours nailpolishes so when I saw this one was 50% off in CM, I bought it. This nail polish does stay on longer than your average one, though 10 days might be pushing it a little. It is possible to fix it by adding another layer (as the ads promise) but do that more than once and there is no way it will look nice, is it? The shade is lovely and I have been wearing it quote often. I'm keeping my nails shorter than usual because they're not in the best shape and well I prefer them to be short than messy. These photos were taken with one coat (and one coat is really enough). I've read some reviews that complain that this nail-polish dries out in a bottle after a few months and I really have nothing to say about that, I usually use up the nail-polishes I buy quickly (not only my nails and other things like DIY stuff) so I cannot be the judge of that. My na...
