Zagreb (the details)/ Zagreb (u detaljima)

red bike street fairy tale houses pigeons (looking at directions?) street collage let there be light Today's photography post is about Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. These are (some of ) the things that caught my eye when I was there last time. Današnja fotografije su iz prijestolnice (kako to samo velebno zvuči ), pa evo nekoliko fotografija Zagreba i detalja koji su mi upali u oko.

Mostar at night (photography post) / Mostar noću (fotografija)

Image
I'm not on first name basis with night photography, but it was worth a shot. The night was warm and calm, almost a summer night, but with that distinct smell of autumn while  the city lights seemed to be glittering as joyfully as only the  dreams of the young do.  All in all, it didn't turned out so bad. I'm rarely satisfied with anything I do, but at the same time, I try to make most out of things.

Thank you for your sweet comments on my last post (and for actually taking the time to always read what I write, as I know we're all short on time nowadays). I really appreciate it! Now, today post is going to be about a city I cannot get out of my head. I was there last March and I still have a lot of photographs that I haven't shared yet so...here they are...xoxo Hvala vam na komenatirama na mome prošlom postu, cjenim što uvijek pročitate što napišem, jer znam da smo danas svi kratki sa vremenom. Današnji post je o vječnom gradu...Rimu...Vječan  ili ne, nešto ga ne mogu izbiti iz glave. Bila sam tamo prošlog ožujka i još imam puno fotografija koje nisam podijelila sa vama pa evo ih...

Breast cancer pink ribbon manicure / Roza vrpca i borba protiv raka dojke

Image
I've seen that a lot of bloggers are doing this manicure to raise awareness about the breast cancer and I thought it to be a great idea, so I've decided to join it. Better late than never, some say. My manicure wasn't really a success, I don't have a pink nail-polish (odd right?) so I had to mix the white and the red one and it turn out a bit messy, but in this case it is the thought that counts, right? On other note, I have sad news to share with you though I don't really feel like talking about it. However, since most of you often ask about my dog (German Shepard puppy) I think I have to tell you that she is not with us anymore. When I got back from the wedding I attended this Saturday, I've found her poisoned. Before we could even get the vet on phone, she was dead. You can imagine how terrible it was to see the poor animal suffer and not being able to do anything about it. Vidjela sam da je puno blogerica radilo ovu manikuru za podizanje svijesti o r...

DIY---painting and writing on clothes / uradi sam--kako crtati i pisati na odjeći?

Image
Hi! In this post, I'll share some of my DIY projects that include painting with textile/fabric paints. What clothes do I paint on? As you will see in this post, I will paint on pretty much everything- jeans, coats, t-shirt.... How to paint with textile (fabric) paints? It might seem daunting but it's actually not that different from painting with any other kind of paints. It can be a similar experience. Of course, this will also depend on the brand of textile paints you'll use. Some textile/fabric paints are more thick, and some less. But all can be worked with! You can also find many tutorials on the Internet.  As I have explained a couple of times, the process can be fairly simple.  There isn't much (if any) difference when it comes to using textile and regular paints.  Many people use watercolour or even acrylic paints to paint on clothes. Some use natural materials and dyes, even dirt! In fact, painting with textile paints is quite similar to using acrylic paints or...
