A PALE BLUE GRECIAN DRESS + 17 WAYS TO STYLE LEOPARD HEELS

Image
Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers. Today I'll show you an outfit I wore a week or so ago for a lunch date with my husband. Not that I need a reason to dress up. Once again I opted for this midi Grecian style dress . I accessorized with a blue necklace and a pair of earrings.  I wanted to give this pair of  leopard heels  another wear. Browsing through my archives, I was surprised to learn that I already wore this pair 17 times (perhaps even more because I don't always photograph my outfits). That means I have to wear them 13 times more to get to 30 wears. I have no doubt that I will be able to do that.  It's always good to strive for 30 wears because of fashion sustainability. I'm sure I'm neither the first nor the the only blogger who does think kind of thing. Among blogs I follow, sustainable fashion is a regular topic (or a way of life for some). I know Mica does 30 wears regularly , Sheila does fashion flashbacks, Marisa started showing different ways to w...

AN ANNIVERSARY OUTFIT: STANKA ZOVKO LILAC DRESS AND SKIRT (OZZ BRAND)

Image
Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! Today I will show you what I wore to celebrate our wedding anniversary. To celebrate we went to restaurant Kolo on Bunica river . We visit this place frequently as this green oasis is only a short drive away from Mostar. This was our ninth wedding anniversary. Funny how times flies! To think it's nine years since we tied the knot (and much longer since we've been dating). So, practically most of my adult life! Anyhow, as most of the time, I have my husband to thank for these lovely photographs. Now, about my outfit. What to wear to one's anniversary? I think the best thing to wear is something we feel good in. That's different for everyone, isn't it?  I wanted to wear something feminine and chic but comfortable at the same time. I decided to pair a lilac dress by designer Stanka Zovko with a lilac polka dot print skirt from the same designer. This skirt is a part of a matching set, but I thought it would be fun to wear it with...

TRAVEL WITH MY ART #20: BEACH SOLINE, VRBOSKA, ISLAND HVAR (CROATIA)

Image
Hi there lovely readers, blog visitors and/or fellow bloggers! Today I have a new landscape painting to share with you. This time I painted beautiful Vrboska beach on island Hvar. As some of you might remember, TRAVEL WITH MY ART is a regular series on my blog where I share my paintings of different locations and places. My last painting was inspired by Sućuraj on island Hvar. This time I was once again inspired by island Hvar, but this time the location is different, it's beach Soline. I painted Vrboska before, but not this beach.   Now, a bit of information about this painting. The medium for this painting is acrylic paints on paper. This 'Soline beach' painting is not as ambitious as the last canvas 'Sućuraj' painting I shared ( HERE ). That last 'Sućuraj' painting was bigger, more detailed, intricate and labour intensive. In contrast, this acrylic painting was done on paper in  A4 format is. So, it's not a large painting.  I worked on it for two day...

BOOK REVIEW: THE HUMAN STAIN, A NOVEL BY PHILIP ROTH

Image
Hello readers and happy Sunday! I hope you're enjoying your weekend. Today I'm back with a book review: The Human Stain by Philip Roth. I read this novel about a decade ago, but recently I found myself  thinking about it again. Sometimes a book stay with you.  The Human Stain  is a wonderfully complex novel focusing of examination of race and identity, with some politics and human relationships thrown in the mix. I feel that in many ways this novel was ahead of its time. Just the other day, I stumbled on an old copy (with my old notes) and started reading it again. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to reread it just now, not cover to cover, but I suspect that some day I might do that.    The review I will share today was written years ago, but I polished it a bit for this post.  AND NOW A BIT OF FASHION TALK (AND LINKS SHOWING HOW I WORE THESE ITEMS BEFORE, SUSTAINABLE FASHION ALL THAT....) As for my outfit, this is just something I put together t...
