Hello dear readers! I'm back with another TRAVEL WITH MY ART POST.  This time I'm taking you to Planinica hill in Bosnia and Herzegovina. You might remember this place from my numerous posts about it. Like Goranci , Planinica is only a short drive away from Mostar. If you are lucky, you might even come across semi-wild horses.  I've been meaning to paint Planinica for a long time. You know a friend of mine asked me recently whether I ever paint locations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I do, but perhaps not as much as I should. There are definitely a lot of beautiful places in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I illustrated and painted some of them in the past, but now I decided that it is time to feature more of Bosnia and Herzegovina in my TRAVEL WITH MY ART POSTS.  Hello dear readers! Today I'm taking you to village Goranci. I visited this lovely village back last July. Located in vicinity of Mostar city, Goranci is a great summer destination, especially if you're looking for an escape from the urban jungle.   I've spend my August solely in Mostar so far. I think you all know the reason for that (more info  here ). I hardly left the house in days, I haven't been feeling well at all. I've managed to do some painting and reading despite my health issues, but I haven't been up to much else. The regular travelling posts on this blog will have to wait. However, I still have some 'travelling content' in the archives, so there will be a 'local travel' post from time to time, even if I don't manage to do any actual travelling.  Anyhow, today  I will show you photographs from our July visit to Goranci.   Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How are you? Are you excited for the weekend? Today I'm back with another book review.   Elephant Moon  by John Sweeney is a novel that immediately drew me in with its cover. They say you can't judge a book by its cover and while that is definitely true, there is nothing wrong with enjoying the aesthetics of a well designed cover. While the cover itself was certainly inviting (who doesn't like elephants?), what made me buy this book on the spot was the summary- a tale of mixed race orphans fleeing from war horrors on backs of Burmese elephants. Who wouldn't want to read about that? Plus, I'm trying to to read more from authors new to me.  John Sweeney is certainly a new author for me. All I know about him is that he is an investigative journalist and an author of 12 books (both fiction and non-fiction).  Hello and welcome to the 17th post in the category: TRAVEL WITH MY ART.   This is a regular feature on my blog where I share my paintings and illustrations of different destinations and locations. I tend to illustrate and paint places I visited and photographed myself, but sometimes they are exceptions, for example when I paint those places I want to visit. Generally speaking, I illustrate places I know well and I use my own photographs as a reference for these paintings.  As the title TRAVEL WITH MY ART would imply, I started this series on my blog in order to share places I love with all of you. It's basically a way to take you places with the help of my art (paintings and photographs). Sharing photographs is a wonderful thing, but since I'm now kind of a painter as well, it makes sense to create and share more art.  So, what will I be sharing today?
