SPLIT CITY: IS DOMNIUS CATHEDRAL'S BELL TOWER WORTH THE CLIMB?

Image
I already wrote about cathedral of Saint Domnius here . The cathedral is one of must see places in Split city. The Romanesque bell tower is obviously not as old as the cathedral, for the cathedral is truly ancient (the oldest christian cathedral to fully preserve its original form in the world). However, the bell tower of saint Domnius is a historical sight on its own. The bell tower is in many ways, a masterpiece of medieval architecture. Build in 1100 AD in Romanesque style, the cathedral saw some changes over the years but it has retained its beauty. Today this bell tower is one of Split city's most iconic symbols.  The bell tower of saint Domnius is definitely a great sight to visit. Moreover, the view from the top is nothing short of breath-taking. The stone design of the bell tower is not only beautiful  and historic but also very open. From every point of the climb, you'll be able to enjoy a spectacular view. Today I'll try to answer the question whether the cat...

How To Tone Down a Bold Floral Print Dress? Outfit Proposal of the Day

Image
Fashion illustrations and flowers go well together. Hopefully so do the straw accessories and floral print, because that is what today's outfit proposal is about. The connection between flowers and fashion illustration is what I was trying to show with my last post.  Today I'm going to show you how to wear a floral print dress with straw accessories. Like many fashion bloggers out there, I'm a fan of the floral print for a number of good reasons. One of them is certainly the eye-catching appeal of floral print.  Floral just never get old, do they?  HOW TO TONE DOWN A BOLD FLORAL DRESS?  The print on the floral dress I'm wearing in this post is particularly bold. It's a very eye-catching printed dress, so I decided to tone it down a bit.  At times, I feel like wearing my floral print dresses in a more subtle way. Not every outfit needs to be full of contrasting colour, right? Sometimes we might feel like taking it easy and putting together some...

Ivana's Fashion Illustration Friday: New Feature On my Blog (Well, Sort Of)!

Image
For a while now, I've been toying with an idea to start another regular feature on my blog. This one would be devoted to my fashion illustrations. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’d know that I had this little place of mine for years now. You’ll also know that fashion illustration has always been (at least a small) part of it.  Like most bloggers, sometimes I wasn’t secure what I was supposed to with my blog, what I want or what I’m actually capable of doing. You know, desires are one thing, but logistics and possibilities are another. There is so much to consider before I sit down to write something, to edit photographs and press that publish bottom. I’m sure all bloggers can relate to that. There is always a bit  and sometimes a lot of self-doubt. Sometimes we need to just do it. Sometimes we need to sit down and analyse things. Sometimes we need to ask ourselves: Can it fit it into my schedule? It’s normal to ask these questions. If you care about y...

Image
Today I'll be sharing a few restaurant and coffee bars reviews with you. If you're looking for nice places to dine or enjoyed a nice cup of coffee in Mostar, you've come to the right place. I will also share my experience of the city's pool. These are my August Mostar recommendations. RESTAURANT MEGI  I'm often asked to recommend good restaurants in Mostar, so I figured I might as well start with this one. Megi is an Italian and European food restaurant located in Mostar city. Most of the dishes offered have a distinct Italian cuisine flavor. I have already dinned at Megi twice this August. Who knows I might stop there again before the end of the month? Over the years, I have dinned at Megi many many times, so I feel like I can really recommend this place. Megi has 105 reviews on Trip Adviser site and from what I've seen they're  mostly positive ones. If your favourite meals include: pizza, salads and risotto, than this is the right restaurant for y...
