Touching Up Old Marker Drawings & Making Some New Marker Art

Image
Hello, how are you? I'm fine. Yesterday I had spent the whole day working on a commission painting and I must admit that I'm exhausted. The painting is nearly finished, but still needs a bit of work. I've been working on it for days now, and I can't wait to see it done. It is a family portrait, so I'm kind of stressed. I mean, it is such a huge responsibility to paint something like that. You are basically creating a painting that will hang in somebody's living room forever. I might show it to you tomorrow or some time this week if you're curious. Fingers crossed that I manage to finish it. Anyhow, today I decided to step back a bit and show you something a bit different, that is, my marker art. RETOUCHED ART  Not only have I been retouching some marker art lately,  I've also been drawing more with markers. The plan is to share it all with you today. Let me know what you think. I already shared one drawing on Instagram yesterday, and today...

How To Style Bermuda Shorts In a Dressed Up Way? Outfit Proposal.

Image
Today I'm sharing with you a predominately grey styling. I think that grey is such an underestimated colour. Lately I've been wearing it more often. It is very easy to style and besides light shades of grey can be so perfect for spring. As much as I love colour & crazy prints, sometimes I feel like wearing something a bit toned down. Back to the subject of this post and that is styling bermuda shorts. When it comes to shorts, I always go for a longer lengths because it feels more comfortable and practical. In addition, a longer length of shorts is appropriate for all kind of occasions. You can even pair longer shorts with a blazer to get a more formal look. When you add tights into the mix, you get a work appropriate outfit. The answer to my question of the day- How to style Bermuda shorts in a dressed up way is: wear them with tights and heels. If you're going for a dressed up look, a nice shirt or a blouse is always welcome. You can also throw a blazer over it. A...

Nautical Print Dress For A Sunny Day in Mostar City

Image
Nautical print dress seems like an appropriate choice for this outfit post, because in the background you can see the mighty Neretva river. Not surprisingly,  nautical print makes me think of the water. Sailing is the second association. Both things I'm extremely found of. I grew up by the sea, but since I moved to Mostar, I learned that there is a such a thing as river magic. Yes, rivers can be amazingly beautiful. Nautical print seems to suit the watery surroundings perfectly, but really I would wear it even if I didn't have a cute background to go along with it. Do you like nautical print? I promised you more posts about Mostar city, haven't I? So, here we go. Mostar is, among other things, famous for its numerous bridges. This is one of my favourite ones. Translated its name would be Customs Bridge.   Do you like bridges? If you do, you might want to visit Mostar city. Because, there sure are many bridges in this town. A lot of people seem to be really into bridg...

My Favourite Trends, Spring & Summer Dress Wish List

Image
Lately I've been wearing dresses pretty much every day. Dresses are a very practical option for spring, because you can just throw them on and you're ready to go. They are so easy to style, aren't they? If you want to look more dressed up, you  can always pair a dress with heels, if you want it to be casual, you pair it with sneakers. It doesn't get much easier than that. Anyhow, I caught myself thinking. What kind of dresses are my favourite ones? Honestly, I can't even answer them, because there are so many different styles that I like and these days we are really spoiled for choice. However, I must say that I'm really into many of the dress trends that have emerged this spring season.  That makes my choice a bit easier because it helps me to decide  what kind of dress I want to wear.  First of all, as someone who loves prints, I'm pretty ecstatic about the printed dress trends: checkered, polka dots, stripes, floral and geometric. All kinds of print ...

Bijelo Polje, Potoci, Bosnia and Herzegovina: Geometric pattern dress

Image
These images were taken in front of the catholic church of The Most Holy Heart of Jesus in Potoci, Bijelo polje (Bosnia and Herzegovina). I 've said it many times, I'll say it again. The area surrounding Mostar city is absolutely gorgeous.  There are so many picturesque villages and recreational zones to explore in vicinity. I'll blog more about Mostar city in the near feature, but today I'll talk about this nearby village.  We're back in Potoci,  literally translated to English the name would be Streams, and this name makes sense because this whole area is rich in rivers, creeks and streams. This village in vicinity of Mostar is a regular stop for a lot of cyclists but we went there by car. When we got there, we stopped in front of this church and took the opportunity to take a few photographs.  I do like the architecture of this church, it complements the mountains in the background beautifully.  Architecture is truly an art form, isn't it? I know some p...
