snow leopard

With the tempatures this close to zero, it seems appropriate to wear my new leggings with snow leopard print. I've bought this leggins in "moda in" (and they are made in Croatia) Temperatura je bliska nuli pa se čini prikladnim obući gege (tajice) sa uzorkom snježnog leoparda. Marka je domaća "moda in" (proizvedeno u Hrvatskoj).

Monte Cassino (Italy) / samostan Monte Cassino u Italiji

When I arrived in Split last Sunday it was a wonderful sunny day but soon it started raining...This entire week has been marked by rain. Well, at least I have started to see flowers everywhere (always look on the bright side of life, right?) It's raining again today so that means another post about my short vacation in Italy last week. This time I'm going to write about Monte Cassino.   Monte Cassino is a monastery in the region of Cassino (Italy). It was originally founded by Saint Benedict in the sixth century and it is considered by scholars to have been one of the spiritual centers of Europe in the middle ages.  It is a beautiful and peaceful place and if you ever have the opportunity to visit it, don't miss it. Ponovo nešto sa mog prošljetjednog putovanja u Italiju. Ovaj post posvećen je Monte Cassinu, samostanu kojeg je u šestom stoljeću utemeljio sveti Benedikt...

Rome (part three) / Rim (treći dio)

Here it is my final post about the eternal city and it covers my activities last Thursday. If you're interested in the time of day, you can see it on the photographs. The day started with the tour of the catacombs (inside it is not allowed to photograph but the outside is really lovely as well, especially those sheep behind my back) .....If you want to see what happened next...take a look. Evo mog posljednjeg posta o Rimu i možete vidjeti fotografije obilaska grada prošlog četvrtka, a ima i vrijeme ako vas zanima. Obilazak je počeo sa katakombama (u kojima se ne smije slikati, ali okolica je jako lijepa također, pogotovo ove ovčice iza mene), a što smo još vidjeli...Pogledajte na fotografijama.

As you can read (if you have the supermen's eyes) this is the University of Engineering.  It was not exactly one of the sights, but we did walk by it on our way to the basilica of S. Peter in chains, so I took a photo of it. In front of basilica of saint Peter in chains (in italiano :San Pietro in Vincoli). As the name would imply it has something to do with saint Peter's chains. Actually, the chains are kept here and you can see them in the basilica. Another amazing thing you can see in the  basilica is the statue of Moses. I found it to be absolutely perfect work of art but as a fan of Michelangelo I might be bias.   The chains of saint Peter. If you had read the Bible you'll will know the story. detail from the inside of the church I was really impressed by this painting on the ceiling. It is absolutely beautiful.    The grave of a famous Croatian miniaturist Juraj Julije Klović (in italian known as  Giorgio Giu...
