 Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How are you? It's (almost) Friday and you know what that means on this little digital place to call my own, don't you? Fashion illustration is something that I have always enjoyed and still do.  Even when I was a girl, I would fill my sketchbooks with fashion illustrations and sketches.   Over the years, my fashion illustration style has evolved together with my art. I think it's only logical that other art projects I do get reflected onto my fashion illustrations. Hello dear readers! I'm  very excited  to share a new canvas painting with you. This painting will take you to Hvar town. In the centre of this painting there is a 12.5 meters long traditional wooden fishing boat and in the background you can see Hvar town (where we first spotted this boat about a year ago). Moreover, this painting with mark my tenth post in TRAVEL WITH MY ART series. I created this series as a way of virtually travelling with the help of my paintings and illustrations. Naturally, I will also share our photography, especially when it comes to reference photographs. It is my goal to use art as a way of showing an additional and perhaps a bit more personal view of some place. While I enjoy photography a lot, I think I'm more a painter than a photographer.   I invested a lot of time and effort into this painting. I would say that I invested around 70 hours of work  into it. It was also a little nerve-wrecking because I wanted to get it just right. ...

How are you doing? How was your weekend?  I have spent all of my weekend working on a new painting. I started it about a week ago, but this weekend I really put it the hours. Yesterday, I worked on it from 9 am to am and today I worked on from 9 am to 9 pm (with a lunch break).  I didn't go anywhere this weekend or did anything else. Who needs a life when you have art?  Well, sometimes I do something else than make art, for example read books. It's been a while since my last reading update (almost a full month) so today I'll do three book reviews in one post. All of these authors were completely new to me. I haven't read any of them before. When you take on a new author, it can be a bit of a gamble. Most of the time I have great luck with picking books, but this time my visit to the library was a miss. Hello dear readers and welcome to another edition of FASHION ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY, a regular feature on my blog where I share my fashion illustrations. Today we'll have a peak into one of my smaller sketchbooks. In other words, I'll show you some new fashion sketches and portraits. Nothing elaborative, just some free hand sketches and design ideas. However, I will also show you two outfits (for those of you who are more interested in clothes than sketches and art talk). Let's get started!
