Hello darlings! My outfit proposal of the day may seem a bit unusual for Spring, but I think it works just fine. I shared this vintage maxi dress on the blog last month ( here ), but I'm not sure have I shared with you the story of this dress or not. So, here it goes, a family member had this dress custom made for her prom many years ago, and since she is not the same size anymore, she decided to give it to me. I've been wearing it pretty often and I think it's absolutely beautiful. I couldn't resist customizing it a bit, so I did a bit of floral embroidery  work on it. I absolutely love doing classical embroidery, but all that work with the needle is very hard on the hands as well as time consuming, so I don't do it as often as I would like to. I'm actually hoping that I'll be able to continue the embroidery floral work on this dress. As promised, today I'm sharing a commissioned family portrait, the one I have recently written about. The painting is all finished and I'm quite happy with the result. I was supposed to draw three people: grandmother, daughter and the daughter's baby (i.e the grandson).  In addition, I also needed to portray one animal and that's would be the family dog. As you can see, it is a very busy painting. Basically, it is a portrait of a grandmother, a daughter and a grandson with the family dog. I had spent a lot of time studying the photograph I was given and deciding on the proportions and the composition. Before I even started working on the painting, I had made three pencil sketches and one carbon sketch on paper. Only then did I proceed to do make a final carbon sketch on the canvas. How do you feel about the transparent plastic bag trend? I must admit that I still have mixed feelings about this trend. I do wear plastic bags. What is there not to love about plastic bags? Like many others, I like plastic bags because they are practical and low maintenance. I bought my beloved yellow plastic bag years ago ( here  and here ) but I'm not so sure about the transparent bag trend. However, there is a way to work around it. You can wear a smaller bag,a pouch or a container inside of the transparent bag, thus preventing the others to see what exactly you have in your bag. I do like the transparent/ sheer trend. I think that just like with any other trend, you can always find ways to make it more suitable for yourself and your own personal sense of style. You can decide what it is that you want to show. You should never wear something that doesn't make you feel better. Anything that makes you feel uncomfortable is always a no. That's the only fashion rule I sw...

Hello, how are you? I'm fine. Yesterday I had spent the whole day working on a commission painting and I must admit that I'm exhausted. The painting is nearly finished, but still needs a bit of work. I've been working on it for days now, and I can't wait to see it done. It is a family portrait, so I'm kind of stressed. I mean, it is such a huge responsibility to paint something like that. You are basically creating a painting that will hang in somebody's living room forever. I might show it to you tomorrow or some time this week if you're curious. Fingers crossed that I manage to finish it. Anyhow, today I decided to step back a bit and show you something a bit different, that is, my marker art.
