dress/haljina: no name, sandale/ sandals: Peko, bag/torba : second hand (vintage), watch/sat: vintage What was I thinking? In my defense, this outfit looked much better in my head. I've worn this floral dress a number of times and you must have noticed it for it was featured quite often on this blog. Not surprisingly, I wanted to try something new, something other that pairing it with another pair of heels. I mean doesn't the pink shade of these leggings match the pink floral print on this dress perfectly or what?  Yet, somehow it just doesn't work. That's my impression after seeing these photographs anyway. Maybe I'm also influenced by the fact that something bad happened on this seemingly innocent April day. How to make an ecologically friendly decorative hair pin? By using recycled materials. For this DIY you will need: - a bit of thick paper or cardboard -one old hair pin - a bit of fabric (I used fabric from an old pillow case) - some paint ( I used nail polish but you can use markers, or paints of any sort) I think the photographs are pretty self explanatory but just in case I'll explain once again ( similar DIY here ) . So, this is how you do it. You cut a bit of thick paper or cardboard in the shape of a heart. Then you sew fabric around it and if you want apply some paint to decorate it. This beautiful mural is located in hospital Bijeli Brijeg in Mostar and it is a lovely sight to behold. I couldn't help noticing it  while waiting for my husband to come back from his head scan.  After the scan, the two of us went for a stroll and took a lot of  photographs. Well, obviously the best way to make an eco friendly necklace is to use either organic or recycled materials. I made this necklace  using the latter, that is,   extra fabric from one red denim skirt, little bit of cardboard, a bit of fabric old pillowcase and red acrylic paint .  The base of the necklace is made from red denim, I just tied them together. The necklace  has one big heart attached to it. The heart you see is made from cardboard and it is covered first with white fabric from an old pillow case (sewn over it, not glued to it). Finally, I decorated the heart with acrylic paints.  That's it! About 15 minutes of work and you end up with a really unique necklace. Will you try it? I didn't plan to post these photographs because they were taken with a smartphone, but then I remembered someone asked to see the bag I hand painted with fabric paints featured in an outfit.  Your wish is my command. Both of these outfits I have worn on the same day and they both feature a vintage red shirts, so hence the title. One way to wear vintage shirt would be with mom jeans and pointy boots and the second one would be with a semi plaid skirt and shoes that I decorated with nail polish last year. I do love this vintage shirt, it's so versatile! The photographs were taken in Mostar.
