Share in style: Japanese inspiration / Japansko nadahnuće
Time for another Share in Style. This time the theme is Japanese inspiration. Can you see it in my outfit? I'm wearing a dark blue shirt that I absolutely love because it's 100% cotton and has really long sleeves that fit even my monkey arms. The collar on this blue shirt is what we would call a Russian collar but isn't it similar to traditional Japanese collar? The second item that is inspired by Japan is this lovely white vintage jacket that I hand pained myself. When I think of Japan, I think of beautiful hand-painted clothing items so perhaps that's where the inspiration for this jacket originally came from.
This outfit would look much better without a coat but I was not feeling that great this morning hence I didn't want to take any changes. It took two pain killers, lots of herbal tea and lavender oil inhalation just to get me out of the bed. Over the shirt and under the white jacket and coat, I wore a green dress with a lovely floral print that also reminds me of Japan but at this point that may be just the power of self suggestion. These wonderful and very comfortable boots are from Peko and they are a proof that I haven't completely ignored the sales. The bag is a traditional Croatian folklore bag, handmade by my late grandmother.
nicce!

First things first: I'm sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well, and I hope you're much much better now. Although, getting out of bed was definitely worth it. How overwhelmingly beautiful is the scenerey?? Just WOW!!! And last but not least the jacket...the painting is so pretty and goes perfectly with the Japanese scheme!

Really beautiful post and lovely pictures, the background is super great too.
ReplyDeleteIvana, I love your hand painted Coat <3 :D You look sensational despite not feeling well ( you aren't able to tell in the pics) and the view behind you on the bridge is spectacular!

Dear Ivana, I hope you feel already better and your treatment worked in the end! But there is nothing to see that you didn't feel so good on the pictures as you are look really really beautiful in your by Japan inspired look. You painted the jacket by yourself? And I can imagine that you are really happy that your blouse fits you even with long enough sleeves. Wish you a happy and especially healthy rest of the week!
