beach bag (outfit post)/ torba za plažu (odjevna kombinacija)

Does it ever happens to you that your entire outfitis really about a bag? Usually to be honest, I don't think that much about bags. However, the one I was wearing the other day was special. It was a birthday present from my friends and it's not an easier thing to style. It's lovely but very much a beach bag (or a summertime bag)...shells and everything...so I paired it with a fairly simple outfit (little grey skirt) and a matching necklace. What do you think?

...and do tell me isn't Split just a stunning city? We have so many beautiful beaches here...As you can see on the last photo, the beach season is very much open!

...i recite mi ...zar Split nije prekrasan? Imamo toliko divnih plaža!...i kao što možete vidjeti na zadnjoj fotografiji- sezona kupanja je otvorena!

  17. I agree, dearest Ivana, Split is wonderful and you, too! It was a good idea to match this bag with such a simple dress! And I like your headband - in the past I have worn headbands very often, I think I should really renew this trend :)

  23. Hello Ivana,

your right, your hometown is surely a fantastic city for this seaside.

Your todays outfit is stunning. I like your dress - i like this colour, so neutral - perfect in combo with other (coloured) clothings. And i think you know, that i love belts - your is a big one - just awesome!!! Nice detail that your handbag are a coloured match to your jewelry is - great colour-stuff.

But gosh, you wearing tights on a beach? I know some ladys that their would shake their heads. They would never wear tights on a place like this, They would go barefooted and wearing just flip flops - i hate this kind of shoes. Awful to see girls wearing flip flops even in the city - i saw this in this summer in my city evertime...

Anyway. I would wear the same like you do: opaque tights are a good statement, that says: "...hey look at me, i´m wearing tights and i love it!"...;-)
Opaque Tights is great stuff and the perfect thing in combo to your dress!!!

    Bye.

    1. thank you so much. Yes, I love to wear tights...they make walking in shoes more comfy....and I almost never wear flip flops....I wear heels even when I go to the beach.

    2. "I wear heels even when I go to the beach." - gosh, i think we are the perfect couple in wearing heels...;-)

What is your size of shoes? Strange - when i buy shoes for men, i need Gr. 44/45. My female shoes are Gr. 42 - sometimes also Gr. 41. In Gr. 42 i´m feeling very comfy.

      Bye.

    3. my size is 40/41 when I buy Italian shoes and 39/40 when I buy German or Croatia.

Interesting there are different sizes for men and women, I didn't know that.

    4. Yes, very strange. Especially female shoes are way "spiky" (on the front) and tighter as men shoes.

      Bye.

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.

February recap / sažetak veljače

You have seen (more or less) what was February like for me. Now tell me... what was February like for you? Are you happy that it's already March or do you feel like time is flying too fast? Are you looking forward to the spring?

As far as blogging goes, it seems that I have became more focused on fashion illustrations. In the next month the illustrations will have their place, but there will be more focus on DIY....or at least I think so, because I'm kind of heading in that direction. Apart from that, I have no plans. I have so many ideas when it comes to what I want to blog about, that I often have hard time deciding what not to include. As always, feel free to write about what you would like to see.

Wearing the First Dress I Ever Made: A Grey Midi Dress

Here it is: the first dress I have ever made entirely by myself. I did make some summer dresses in the past, but I had sown them without a pattern and a sewing machine and at any rate I wouldn't call them very accomplished. I mean, they weren't nearly as polished as this dress and they were not nearly as complex to make. I'm very happy with how this dress turned out. I'm even happier I took this sewing course in the first place because now I can make more dresses like this one! If you remember my November highlights post, you might remember that I've mentioned how I've recently finished a beginning fashion tailoring and sewing course with designer Stanka Zovko.

I promised to show you the dress I made for my course 'graduation'. At the end of this lovely sewing course, you get to choose not only what you're going to make, but also the material and the pattern.  The sewing pattern is typically chosen from one of the sewing magazines this designer has …

How To Style Animal Print? + An Autumnal Fairy Tale at Ethno Village Near Medugorje

With winter at our doorstep, I think it's important to make the most out of the left over autumn days. With that in mind, my husband and I payed another visit to our favourite (still not officially opened!) ethno village in vicinity of Medugorje. I wrote about this eco/ethno village a number of times, so if you want to know more (or just see more photographs) feel free to check out my old posts herehereherehere and here.  Autumn is Herzegovina is always gorgeous, and this year hasn't been an exception. We had some sudden weather changes and drastic changes of temperature, but I would still describe this autumn as a beautiful one. The Sunday this photographs were taken on was rather gorgeous, so I'm certainly glad we went on this little trip. I know I'm repeating myself, but I do cherish moments like this. Every time I step into this little village, I feel as if the time has stopped or rather like I have just travelled in time. It's such a charming place! I h…
