Photo diary 4.3.2013 --fotografski dnevnik 4.3.2013

First, thank you for your kind comments. I'm back in Split and I had enjoyed my vacation. As the title suggest this post is a photo diary. All of the photos were taken in two cities Padova and Orvieto. If you're interested in these cities you can google them or something. xoxo

Photo diary (Padova and Orvieto)---- Fotografski dnevnik (Padova i Orvieto)

 Prvi dio: Padova (Italija)
Part one: Padova (Italy)
In Padova we visited the grave of Leopold Mandic, the church of saint Justine and the church of saint Antonio.
U Padovi posjetili smo grob Leopolda Mandića, crkvu svete Justine i crkvu svetog Ante.
La mano di S. Leopoldo- The hand of Saint Leopold (Croatian monk from the region Boka Kotorska in Montenegro), the one that he had used to absolve sins

Saint Leopold Madic was short of stature (132cm) so he was made into a confessor.  It is said that he could read into the hearts of people and tell them their sins before they said anything. He was a great saint who performed many miracles.

The main squire in Padova is one of the most beautiful things I have seen.

Crkva svete Justine, prekrasna iznutra i izvana.

Ja volim životinje i one vole mene.

Iza mene se nalazi crkva u kojoj se čuvaju ostaci svetog Ante.

Part two: Orvieto (Italy)
Drugi dio: Orvieto (Italija)

Nije bilo dozvoljeno fotografiranje iznutra.

Both of these cities are stunning and I recommend visiting them any time.

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism.

CROATIAN FASHION WEEK: MATEYANEIRA FASHION ILLUSTRATION IN WATERCOLOUR

I can't really attend fashion weeks because I work full time, but with the help of the internet I get to follow fashion weeks digitally. One of the benefits of living in digital times, I guess. If you remember, I have already shared a number of fashion illustrations inspired by  spring/summer fashion weeks on this little blog of mine ( Valentino Spring Collection 20191 & 2, Zuhair Murad Spring Ready To Wear 2019 collection1 & 2Louis Vuitton Spring Collection 2019 ). Please don't click the links to buy the illustrations, they won't lead you anymore as my art store was lost and it will take me a while to manually remove all the links (I'll explain this later on in this post, for now let's concentrate on positive things like this cute new fashion painting I'll share with you and the design that inspired it).
I was a bit late with catching with Croatian fashion week because I've been busy with work. About a week or so ago, I finally found the time…

IS MOSTAR A GOOD EASTER DAY DESTINATION? PLUS A SPRING OUTFIT PROPOSAL

Luckily for me, Mostar is an excellent Easter day destination. You see, I had travel plans for this Easter weekend, but I caught a bad cold so I decided to stay in the city I'm currently based in. That's actually not a bad thing because (if you ask me) Mostar makes for a great Easter day destination. Naturally, I've would have loved to visit my family, but since that wasn't possible, I'm happy to be spending Easter in Mostar. I've already cleaned and decorated my home for Easter so I'm all set. I've also prepared an outfit proposal but more about that later on. First I'll talk a bit about Mostar. Why is Mostar such a great spring destination? I can think of a number of reasons, but from top of my head I would say wonderful climate, beautiful landmarks and interesting history. Mostar is gorgeous in spring time. With its seven rivers and a number of lovely parks, Mostar can feel like a city oasis.

Spending Easter in Mostar is something I would defin…

TROGIR CITY (PART TWO): KAMERLENGO CASTLE AND OTHER SIGHTS

KAMERLENGO CASTLE AND FORTRESS

As I promised in my last post, my description of  wonderful Trogir city continues. Today I'll show you the city's promenade, its walls and a historical fortress Kamerlengo. We'll start with the latter, as it is one of the main attractions. Castle and fortress Kamerlengo was designed and constructed in the fifteenth century by a local Croatian builder and sculptor known as Martin Radoj. Martin also worked on some of the Gothic elements of Trogir city cathedral and later on in life he was entrusted with the construction of Trogir port. The fortress was commissioned by the Republic of Venice, hence its name 'camelengo ' that is an Italian version of chamberlain. I didn't go inside of  Kamerlengo fortress this time because I've been there before so I just enjoyed observing it from the outside. Besides the Kamerlengo castle, today I'll also show you the city walls and other details from Trogir. Enjoy.

Once again, here is a li…
