interview with Marcela from blog Fashionadictas/ razgovor s Marcelom sa bloga Fashionadictas

Today I'm presenting one wonderful blog . What I like about this blog is that it joins fashion and art. Every post is a comparison of a designer and a painter (or an artist). In that sense it is quite unique. Here is a short interview with the blogger behind fashionadictas.

Odlučila sam vam danas predstaviti jedan blog.

1. How did you come to an idea to compare art and fashion?
It came naturally. I'm a painter and licensed at art but I'm also studied fashion design.
Fashion has been always very important for me, I like to express myself through me clothes. By other side, art is part of my life and profession, I want to find art also in small things, all motivate my creativity.
By that I decided to join my two passions, and I created Fashionadictas, where the fashion is art.

Kako si došla na ideju uspoređivanja umjetnosti i mode? To je došlo prirodno. Ja sam slikarica i diplomirala sam umjetnost, ali sam također studirala modni dizajn. Moda mi je uvijek bila veoma važna. Volim se izražavati kroz odjeću. Sa druge strane, umjetnost je dio mog života i profesije. Želim pronaći umjetnost u malim stvarima, sve to motivira moju kreativnost. Zbog toga sam odlučila spojiti svoje dvije strasti i stvorila sam Fashionadictas, gdje je moda umjetnost.

 2. How do you prepare your posts?
The posts take a lot of work. First, I select the fashion or tendency that I like or that interests me by it forms, colours and designs and I can match them by my own inspiration realizing a parallelism with a painter, photographer or sculptor.
I'd love to do all my posts with my own drawings and paintings, but it will take more time for publication.
I love to release artists that I like in my blog, such as young talents or established artists. Thanks to my profession I have a big biography of the artists that I like.

 3. What are your experiences as a blogger?
My experience is totally positive. I can express all my art with the blog, meet people of different countries and release to them different artists without getting out their homes.

 4. What blogs do you yourself find inspirational?
Really I can appreciate that there are a lot of people like me with a great talent that they show in their blogs. I think with this system of publications there are place to everybody, each one creates with his own style and personality.

 5. Do you have  a favourite painter and a designer?

Wow, a lots!
I love painting of young painters and the experience of the big masters. I love Picasso and Dalí and in the fashion, I like a lot of designers, such as Gucci, Fendi, Christian Dior, Hèrmes, Louis Vuitton and as for  the Spanish fashion, I love Hannibal, Laguna, Roberto Verino and the colorful designs of Agatha Ruíz de la Prada.

Imaš li najdražeg slikara i dizajnera? Da, puno njih! Volim slikarstvo mladih slikara i iskustvo velikih majstora.

I truly enjoy showing you around Bosnia and Herzegovina. Have you noticed that? You know, there are some really amazing destinations in this country. Today I'll take you to beautiful Blagaj, located only a short drive from Mostar city. Blagaj is a picturesque historical village located in Herzegovina region. This little green river oasis is an increasingly popular tourist destination and not without a reason. Blagaj village has got one of the strongest and most beautiful river springs in Europe. This stunning and potent water spring creates Buna river and is a impressive example of karst river formation. Right next to it you can find a historical dervish house (tekija) that is open all year round.
The dervish house dates back to the sixteenth century.  It placed right next to the entrance to the cave  where the river Buna springs from and it is an incredible site. The cliff over the cave is a very impressive sight as well! You can even go for a boat ride in the cave and see this…

I don't know what it is about the combination of tote bags and fashion illustrations that I like so much. Maybe it is simply a matter of combining two things that I love. I adore tote bags for their practicality, I like to carry one with me (often tucked in my regular bag) at all times because you never know. We all know that the typical disposable plastic grocery bags are a huge no-no for the environment, so a tote bag is a must (even if just for grocery shopping).  I personally like to wear tote bags even on occasions that have nothing to do with grocery lists, but to each his own. As for fashion illustration, well I don't have to explain that. I have literally loved fashion illustration for as long as I can remember. Joining my creative skills with tote bags seemed logical! Some of you might remember that I even hand painted some vintage tote bags. In fact, you had the chance of seeing one of those tote bags recently here. As much as I enjoy using textile prints, I also li…

Today I'll show you two ways to style a scarf: one is by wrapping it around your headband and the other by using it as a belt for your dress.  I'm also going to link up old posts with more ideas for styling this scarf, offering you about a dozen ideas. The first idea is a common one. Wearing a belt around your dress is an easy way to accentuate your waist. The other outfit proposal shows a fresh styling trick: wearing your scarf wrapped around your headband. Yes, you read that right. This is actually such an easy way to make the most out of your headband(s). I own only one headband but by wrapping different scarves around it, it seems like I have a dozen of them.  As for the two outfits I'm going to show to you, they are both summer ones. The colour palette for these looks is pretty neutral, but I jazzed it up by choosing printed white items. I do like the freshness that the white colour offers, but as a lover of prints I tend to compromise by opting for printed white ite…
