Project House #2: Stairway To Heaven

Image
Welcome to another Project House feature! Thank you so much for all the lovely feedback on my first post . I'm really happy to show you yet another space in my new home. Like the rest of the our home, our entrance and stairway was a labour of love. We've put so much time and thought into it, and I hope it shows. Perhaps we were even a bit too obsessive about coordinating everything, especially my partner in crime, but all is well that ends well, right? We opted for a minimalist/ Scandinavian/modernist feel and stuck with the colour scheme. We focused a lot on the white aesthetic. We only broke the rules twice and both times it was my decision. Once was to include an antique piece in our otherwise all white living room. The other time was when it came to picking the stone for this stairs. Anyway, I don't think that minimalist inner decor needs to be all sterile. It is more about the certain aesthetic, clean lines and neutral colours. I do like the neutral colour palette we ...

Spring To Summer Transition: Outfit Proposal, LDB Worn With Black Leggings and Brown Sandals

Image
Spring To Summer Transition is probably the least talked about seasonal transition. True, depending on where you live the transition between spring and summer may not be that dramatic. If you live in a warmer climate, you might not notice the transition at all. Even in a colder climate, summer and spring temperatures might be quite similar. Anyhow, weather isn't completely dependable these days. Even if it the weather was more stable and dependable, seasonal changes are more than just a temperature change. I guess that Summer is, for many of us, a feeling. Yes, a feeling. It is only lately that I've been feeling that the Summer has finally began. For me the Summer goes beyond the warm temperatures.  We've had summer temperatures for a while now, and even with all the daily showers we have been experiencing lately, one could claim that the summer arrived a while ago. Tell me, how do you dress during summertime? What feelings does Summer invoke in you? Do you prefer ...

Project House #1: The Prons and Cons Of Designing Your Kitchen + 5 Kitchen Design Tips

Image
If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen a kitchen drawing ( here ) I shared about two years ago (though I hardly remember it myself). That was actually one of my first designs for this kitchen. I already shared my kitchen with you, it was in the background of some of my photographs (in this post ), but I haven't written about it yet.  I get a lot of questions about my kitchen, so today I decided to answer them and talk about the different aspects of kitchen design. I've been preparing posts about the inner design work and decorating we did in our new home for a while now.  I've decided to break down these posts in several components so they would be more reader- friendly. Not that I think that I have a great insight into designer and decorating secrets, as we only worked on things that we needed to and we are no professionals. I would like to share what I learned, though. I know it might be useful to someone. To be clear, this was the first and probably the last...

My Teddybear picks: How About A Hug?

Image
I drew this teddy bear in pencil over a year ago, as a part of my Inspired by series. If you are interested in the story behind this drawing, you can check out this old post of mine . Basically, it was the first time and so far the last I illustrated someone's toy. Matea Šarić, a filmmaker from Croatia, made a documentary that is all about people's connection to their stuffed toys and named it Geography of Tenderness. Here is a link to her YouTube channel in case you'd like to have a look.  It's her teddy bear I illustrated. Anyway, recently I have edited this drawing and made it available for purchase via my redbubble account. What do you think about the editing? I'm very content  with the drawing itself but I'm not sure about the editing. It is a definitely a skill I'm still learning, but I think this design looks alright. Funny how it looks more like digital art than a drawing now. I'm so glad I started to work in pencil more. I do feel like painti...
