There is that moment when we feel at peace, when everything feels so right and perfect.

Image
At times we do find beauty in our lives. Whether it is the wind that plays with our hair or the sun that touches us ever so gently…There is that moment when we feel at peace, when everything feels so right and perfect.  A moment of clarification.  We may find it in a smile of an unknown person …you never know where it could come from …This beauty… the most precious thing in the world. When we do find it we must treasure it. Recognize it. Cherish it in every corner of our soul. Enjoy the moment because beauty cannot be locked in a box. It just comes out of nowhere….a moment of happiness and bliss…and just like that it is gone…yet  in one way it is always with us. Here to stay. Gift that we had received. Unexpected. Unwrapped. Unpolished. Unique.  A gift. A feeling that makes us realize that life is a gift or rather that it can be a gift. Life is what we make of it. We may plot, scheme and we may try our hardest…but it won't come. Happiness is not a...

Summer in Dalmatia...Ljeto u Dalmaciji...L'estate in Dalmazia

Image
I wish I had an epic story to go with these photographs, but I'm afraid I don't. The thing is that I'm starting to feel the summer has arrived and I wanted to share the photographs that I took (on various occasions) to convey that feeling...and perhaps even to celebrate the fact that the summer has come... The location is Dalmatia, the region I originate from and speaking of which I'm not sure how to call myself as sharing a name with a breed of dog (however adorable it may be) seems kind of weird. So, here it is...a little bit of inspiration. Are you excited about the summer? I'll probably always be, it's my favourite time of year...and this is what summer feels like to me. Btw I've noticed that some of my readers know their way around Croatia, so I'm curious...Can you guess the cities on these photographs? Voljela bi da imam neku zanimljivu priču da ide uz ove fotografije, ali nemam... jednostavno osjetila sam da je došlo ljeto i htjela s...

Ljubuški (photography post)/ Ljubuški (fotografija)

Image
These photographs were taken last spring in a little city in Herzegovina called Ljubuški. It was such a perfect day, one of those when everything seems the way it should be...  This place is right on the border with Croatia and besides beautiful nature that surrounds it, there are also historical sights that you can visit.

Zadar/ Zara (photography post)

Image
What to say about Zadar? It's stunning city for one, absolutely stunning. It is also known under the name Zara. Like most Dalmatian coastal cities, it's very old so history lovers (as tourists often are) should feel right at home. Plenty of sight, lovely beaches, vicinity of many islands....this town just has it all. The first photo you see I had taken a few years ago and you can actually see a sea organ (little holes- pay attention). Architect who constructed it was indeed a man of rare talent because hearing the sea play (and you sure can hear it) is one of a time experience. On the photo below you get even better view.  One interesting fact about Zadar is that it was burned to the ground by the crusaders in the 13th century (November 2012 to be precise). That was the first time (and the last I believe) that the crusaders had destroyed a christian town. What was the reason? Venice asked them to do it because Zadar was an important port and they didn't wan...

Split this morning (photography post) / Split jutros (fotografija)

Image
Hello, my dear friends...Today I want to share with you the photographs I have taken this morning. The day is absolutely beautiful....sun and the sea...I feel like I'm in heaven. Zdravo, dragi moji. Danas sa vama želim podijeliti fotografije koje sam uslikala jutros. Dan ne može biti ljepši...sunce i more...ljepota..kao da sam u raju.

10 things I never ever imagined I would wear...

Image
Today something different my friends. I've picked out a few outfits (or better to say items of clothing and fashion/style choices) that I would have never ever had imagined that I would wear (and do). 1. Cowboy hat. Yup, this is the one that I didn't see coming. I could have never imagined myself wearing a cowboy hat. Period. Under any conditions...What can I say? Our tastes change with years... 2. Pink and red together (and purple?)...(and a blazer over a long cardigan!?) Pink and red used to be a no-no for me...Today I wear these two colours together without thinking about it at all. In fact, I like to mix all kinds of colours together, especially the ones that I didn't used to. That's life, our sense of style changes...and yes...short blazer and a long cardigan? This is not what I believed layering should look like...but oh how my tastes have changed. 3. My brother's old denim shirt. Well, I was never especially crazy about denim...Sure, I wore j...
