FASHION ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY: STANKA ZOVKO SET & DIY NECKLACE

Image
Welcome to another Fashion Illustration Friday post. This time I'm sharing an illustration of one of my own outfits. The outfit I have illustrated is all about spring vibes. Unlike the recent events, the weather has been kind to us. The Japanese cherry trees are in full bloom and it's intoxicating. In fact, I admit to colour coordinating this outfit with Sakura (cherry tree blossoms) in Mostar.  I have paired my magenta Bajina basta coat with a lilac matching polka dot set from Ozz brand by fashion designer Stanka Zovko.  I absolutely love this blouse & skirt set. In fact, I often wear these two pieces (sometimes as separre pieces and sometimes as a set). I've gotten a lot of wear from all of the pieces I got in last summer Ozz haul. It's always good to support local designers. If you remember, I have taken a fashion tailoring and sewing course with this designer  back in 2018. Investing in your skills and education is the best investment you can make.    Th...

FASHION ILLUSTRATION WEDNESDAY: INSPIRED BY VIX

Image
Hello and welcome to another fashion illustration post. This fashion illustration was inspired by a fellow blogger Vix from blog Vintage Vixen . As you might know, sometimes I illustrate bloggers for my 'Inspired by' posts. I've been doing it for years. This is not my first time illustrating Vix either. The illustrated outfit consists of a gorgeous  maxi velvet dress from the sixties paired with a Nigel Rayment hat and some lovely accessories. I've always loved the combination of blue and green colour palettes. The medium for this illustration is watercolour pencils on paper. That's the medium I've been working with most often lately (as you might have noticed). The illustration style I opted the elo...

FASHION ILLUSTRATION TUESDAY: ELISABETTA FRANCHI SPRING SUMMER 2022

Image
Hello and welcome to another fashion illustration post . In this post, I shall share my fashion illustrations inspired by Elisabetta Franchi's Spring Summer 2022 collection.  I have recently watched the video presentation of this 2022 collection and it left quite a favorable impression on me. In fact, I don't remember when I enjoyed watching a video of some fashion collection as much. This favorable and lasting impression was not created only by the beauty of the collection itself, rather I enjoyed the entire presentation- the models, the styling and the location chosen for this runaway. The collection draws heavily on safari chic but manages to be wonderfully feminine and elegant at the same time. What particularly appealed to me was the immaculate tailoring and cleverly chosen accessories that helped to elevate some of more casual looks. If someone had told me  (prior to seeing this collection) that denim could look so timelessly elegant, I wouldn't have believed it. S...
