3 CHARMING VILLAGES NEAR HVAR TOWN TO FALL IN LOVE WITH

Image
Hello there! Today I'll take you to not one but three charming villages in vicinity of Hvar town, Croatia. Zaraće, Gornje Grablje and Brusje are beautiful villages that are only a short drive away from Hvar and  Stari grad town. You may not have heard of these picturesque villages, but let me assure you there are more than worth a visit.  I often blog about lovely villages, towns and places on island Hvar, but there is always more to discover. I'm so happy that I will share these lovely places with you. Time to hit the road and breathe in the fields of lavender this island is famous for. Scroll down to see more. ZARAĆE- A CHARMING VILLAGE THAT IS A MIX OF THE OLD AND THE NEW First we will visit Zaraće, a small village in immediate vicinity of Hvar town. FASHION FRIDAY ILLUSTRATION AND ART UPDATE: BAY TORAC

Image
Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How's life been treating you? I'm currently in Croatia. Today I'll share with you some new watercolour sketches I made while visiting bay Torac on island Hvar. My Fridays are usually about fashion illustrations but today I'll share some landscape photography with you as well. Many complain that their children do not want to do anything not screen related, but have you tried getting them involved in some traditional art or crafts making? Just a thought! We all spend too much time behind th...

Image
Hello there! Today I'll share with you a repainted oil painting inspired by a souvenir I picked up in Assisi , Italy (also here ). I visited Assisi, a hometown of Saint Francis back in 2013. It took me only a day to paint the original painting in 2014 (see the post here)  but it took me four days to repaint it this August- including one afternoon spent crying because I was exhausted by the effort.  I'm still not sure I'm 100 % finished. Sometimes I  miss the days before I started taking art classes because I was much less critical of my work back then and seemed to enjoy the process more.  Not that I'm complaining. I'm very grateful that I have the means to pursue art more seriously and learn more about different mediums. That certainly wasn't always the case. While it is true that it feels like more work nowadays, I can also see the progress and that's obviously rewarding. I'm happy that it is possible for me to create paintings, especially these kind ...
