a forest fairy/ šumska vila

















*The photographs are from my garden (it's been a while since I had time to go hiking or something like that)
* The illustration represent a forest fairy ( I've used colour pencils, water colours and coffee to pain it)


I've started writing a story about a forest fairy recently, it's in one of my little nephew's notebooks and I hope to finish it soon. There is also an entire series of stories about a little boy that lives in a circus that I have made up especially for my nephew and that I should really put on paper before I forget them or something (though he seems to remember them quite well) Anyhow, I guess that story is where I got the inspiration for this illustration. The only problem is that I forgot about the painting on the other side of the paper (painted with acrylic paints) so when I applied water colours and coffee above the colour pencils... the stains made their appearance...It's not a big deal as I will probably be making a few more similar ones, but I should probably keep it in mind and apply new rule one sketch or illustration per paper.

Počela sam pisati priču o šumskoj vili nedavno, u nekoj je od bilježnica moga nećaka i nadam se završiti je uskoro. Tu je i cijela serija proča o dječaku koji živu u circkusu koje sam izmislila posebno za nećaka i koje bi stvarno trebala staviti crno na bijelo prije nego ih zaboravim (iako ih on čini se dobro zna). Uglavnom, valjda je ta priča inspiracija za ilustraciju. Jedini problem je što sam zaboravila da je na drugoj strani papira slika s akrilnim bojama i onda kad sam stavila sloj vodenih boja i kave, pojavile su se mrlje...nije neka šteta jer ću raditi još ovakvih ilustracija, ali moram imati na umu novo pravilo...jedan list papira za jednu skicu i ilustraciju.

    Aaah yes, fairy drawings! I always adore seeing your works. I love how you're never afraid to use bright, bright colors--never let that go! People oftentimes are afraid of using highly saturated colors so hold on to that ability of yours. <3 These pictures are so majestic.

    This idea is very nice, indeed. I respect such people who really care about their children education, so I believe you are a really nice aunt:) I also like the sketch which you've created, that fairy looks very special and pretty:)

    You know you are really good at loosing yourself in what you are passionate about and just keeping it that way. I admire you for that. Writing is always a way to escape, well, for me. FORGIVENESS DAY BY URSULA K. LE GUIN (BOOK REVIEW AND AN AUTUMN STYLING)

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How are you today? I'm back with another Ursula K. Le Guin book review. In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own. I think it functions well as a stand alone novella. I listened to it in audio form, and I didn't have any problems following the story.  The world building is simple and effective. SUMMER TO AUTUMN TRANSITION IN BLACK AND WHITE (MOSTAR)

 Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! In this post, I'll share a few Summer to Autumn outfits I wore in Mostar. As I keep mentioning in all of my recent posts, I did some second hand shopping this Summer. I needed to make sure to follow my school's white and black dress code. This summer shopping I keep mentioning proved not only affordable, but also very successful. I managed not only to wear everything I bought, but also to transition all of my newly acquired items to Autumn. Now, you will see how I transitioned some of my newly acquired items for Autumn.  The whole shopping second hand thing in the Summer took me less than half an hour. I spent less than 20 euros in total. Not bad! It seems that the less I shop, the better I get at shopping. Sometimes too much of the good thing can be bad for you. FASHION ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY: WIW AS A WEDDING GUEST

 Hello! Welcome to a new Friday fashion illustration post. Technically speaking, the two fashion illustrations I'm sharing aren't new, but this outfit is. New in the sense that I haven't posted it before, not in the sense that the clothing items as new!  As you know, I'm the queen of shopping my closet. In this post, I'll share an outfit I wore for a wedding I attended recently. Ever since I got married and moved to Herzegovina, I had to become an expert wedding guest. In Herzegovina, you get invited to everyone's wedding, especially if you're Catholic. It's not unheard of for a wedding to have up to a thousand guests!  Once again I shopped my closet for my trusted items. I pulled out an elegant black midi dress with ruffles that I got in a collab ages ago and that I still wear. Upon glancing these photographs, I realized that I illustrated this dress before.
