sketches (necklaces) / skice (ogrlice)

I've been working on making and designing necklaces...As you know (if you have been following regularly), I have been experimenting over sized necklaces made from faux leather. I've been trying to work out  how I want to make them and all that. Here are a few sketches and ideas and hopefully soon you'll be able to see a final product.  Perhaps making my designs really bubble and positive, sort of cartoonish 'sugar, spice and everything nice' type of stuff  is the result of  currently having a hard time in life and consequently trying to cheer myself up subconsciously.

Radila sam na pravljenu i osmišljavanju ogrlica. Kao što znate ako redovito pratite, malo sam eksperimentirala sa  velikim ogrlicama od eko kože. Pokušavala sam smisliti kako ih želim praviti i tako to. Evo par skica i ideja i nadam se da ću uskoro moći pokazati vam neke radove. Možda su mi u glavi vesele stvari u stilu crtića jer mi u zadnje vrijeme u životu ne cvjetaju ruže. Možda je to podsvijesni način da sama sebe oraspoložim.

    Lovely designs, Ivana! I love the pink one with hearts and the last drawing with a portrait of a girl with purple hair is beautiful. I know so well how you feel... It's the same for me, the worst I feel the happiest are my drawings. But it's good that we can create to brighten our days! Hugs and smiles!

    I ja se nadam da će sve biti ok, sve ima rešenje i sve prođe i znam da je lako reći a u praksi je drugačije, ali ipak, nadam se da mogu makar malo da dorpinesem toj pozitivnosti kojom odišu ovi crteži. Stvarno si prava umetnica :)

 Welcome Spring! We welcome thy beauty! We also fear thy evil twin- The Spring Fatigue. Like in a telenovela, one rarely comes without the other. It was over 40 degrees Celsius (that's over 100 Fahrenheit) when these photographs were taken. Seriously! I'm obviously a desert type when I'm able to enjoy being out at midday in a city that is practically an oven. If you did not know Mostar city is surrounded by mountains and hills which pretty much turns it into an urban oven. Yes, this city is a champion of unbelievably high temperatures during the Summer. So, this hat was as much a necessity as a fashion statement. Wearing a hat when temperature is over 100 Fahrenheit is a sound idea, believe me.   Hello readers and fellow bloggers!  Welcome Spring. What does Spring means to you?  To me, it means a great many things. This year, it meant a possibility of a longer spring break. As the school I'm currently teaching in is an International one, obviously this means different cultures and nationalities. We try to organize our school breaks in a way to meet everyone's cultural needs. This year we opted for a shorter winter break in favour of a longer spring one. With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Belluci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.  The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration! When I woke up this morning, the first thing I did was walk to the kitchen. Naturally, I was there to make coffee (can’t start a day without it) but while I was at it, I decided to also make a nice cup of warm chocolate. I figured that one can’t have too many warm drinks when the weather is misbehaving. Plus, I wanted something to drink right away, and because preparing coffee my style takes a while (wouldn’t be caught dead drinking instant coffee;)) I opted for warm chocolate first and it was nice but I have to remember to make my own instant coffee again, I’m sure that stuff they sell in shops are full of all kinds of unhealthy stuff. Speaking of health, I have had a cold for a week now, my throat is still sore and my vocal cords are in pitiful state.  I'm not a big fan of my voice right now, but most people seem to like it.
