Flare jeans and magetna coat (location Mostar, BIH)

Image
I'm still really into this magenta coat. I love everything about this coat, the cut and the colours, the accent sleeves and the detail on the collar. This time I paired it with a pair of blue flare jeans, a striped backpack and a pair of black boots. I wore it on a cold and sunny winter day and I felt pretty good. Dressing up in Winter is sometimes a challenge, but sometimes it is quite easy. If you are the sort of person who enjoys colours, perhaps wearing a coloured coat is a good idea to chase of Monday blues. I personally don't get those Monday blues anymore. I try to make it a habit to visit libraries on Monday and since I love reading this is obviously something I look forward too. I'm not sure is that the sole reason why I don't dislike Mondays anymore but it certainly doesn't hurt. This location was already featured in this  post . Mostar could be described as the city of bridges and rivers (there are many bridges and rivers in this ci...

A little black skater dress and a green winter jacket (location: ethno village Herceg, Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Green happens to be one of my favourite colours. I love all shades of it, except maybe for that ugly shade of green that is on the cover of The Perks of Being a Wallflower (on the other hand maybe this copy I have is a bit worn out). I've just finished that novel btw and I absolutely hated it. I don't remember when I read something as bad as this novel. The writing was horrible, just horrible. I have a feeling that the author (that would be Stephen Chobsky) included every single psychological issue/trauma he could think of and just cramped it all in there in hope of managing to emotionally blackmail readers into liking this book. Well, it worked out for him, the book became a bestseller but I still think it's a cheap trick. Anyhow, the book left me feeling frustrated because you know I lost a couple of hours of my time reading this poor excuse for a novel. Well, you can't win them all. I had amazing luck with books last January, and you can't get lucky all the time...

Being a Teen by Jane Fonda: Everything Girls & Boys Should Know About Relationship, Sex, Love, Health, Identity & More (book review and recommendations)

Image
I don't share book recommendations here as often as I used to, but I still eat books like candy. One of my NY resolution was to read more non-fiction and so far that's been working out pretty well. I still read mostly classics, but non-fiction is becoming a regular part of my reading routine. I had read more than a dozen books last January (not bad at all) and this book was one of them. I can only hope that I will manage to read as much this February.  Today  I'm presenting a non fiction book by a famous author. Most of you probably  know who Jane Fonda is, but you might be curious/ or uncertain about her reasons for writing a book like this. Most of us bookworms tend to be a bit on fence when it comes to celebrity books (and for a good reason). However, Jane Fonda has actually been involved in working (volunteering) for better adolescent & teenage mental and physical health for years (she even founded a foundation for it), so she has something to contribute to t...

January recap (my art & DIY & outfits)

Image
I've had a lot of posting ideas this January. I think it has to do with the fact that I was away from blogging for so long.  Perhaps I was just eager to make up for the lost time. I didn't keep to a certain theme this January. I wrote a lot. I shared many paintings and illustrations. In addition, I also shared my outfits and even DIY projects. So, there was a bit of everything this month. However, that also means that I get to do a really fun January recap, so here we go.                                                  ART & ILLUSTRATIONS  I shared tons of my illustrations, drawings and painting this January and if all goes well you can expect the same in February. I already have some art on hold to share. I'm also planning to write more about my experience with art courses. Perhaps it is best to write one detailed post about it. ...
