What was I thinking? (outfit post)/ Što mi je bilo? ( odjevna objava)











dress/haljina: no name, sandale/ sandals: Peko, bag/torba : second hand (vintage), watch/sat: vintage

What was I thinking? In my defense, this outfit looked much better in my head. I've worn this floral dress a number of times and you must have noticed it for it was featured quite often on this blog. Not surprisingly, I wanted to try something new, something other that pairing it with another pair of heels. I mean doesn't the pink shade of these leggings match the pink floral print on this dress perfectly or what?  Yet, somehow it just doesn't work. That's my impression after seeing these photographs anyway. Maybe I'm also influenced by the fact that something bad happened on this seemingly innocent April day. What are your thoughts on this one?  Is this outfit a big no...or is it ok?

Što mi je bilo? U mojoj glavi ova je odjevna kombinacija izgledala sasvim pristojno, samo ću to reći u svoju obranu. Nosila sam ovu cvjetnu haljinicu puno puta, često je bila i na blogu i sigurno ste je primijetili. Nije iznenađujuće da sam htjela probati nešto novo, nešto same promjene cipela na petu. Roza nijansa gega (tajica) odlično se slaže s rozim cvjetovima na haljini zar ne? No, opet nešto nije kako treba. Barem je takav moj dojam kada pogledam ove fotografije, a možda je utjecalo na mene i to što mi se svašta nešto loše izdogađalo tog naizgled nevinog i sunčanog travanjskog dana. Što vi kažete? Da ili ne ovome?

    Možda torbica u nekoj drugoj svijetlijoj nijansi, da sve bude u skladu s prirodom i živosti koja nas sad iščekuje van domova, ali super ti je kombinacija! :)

    I think you look adorable, outfit and hair. Of course I am a fan of your beautiful legs in those bright leggings.     Ja moram priznati da mi roze tajice uopće ne smetaju na ovu kombinaciju :) Da mogu birati, rađe bi bez njih ali ne izgledaju uopće loše! :)

      mislim da je možda haljina malo preduga za njih, ova je malo veći broj pa mi je sve skupa malo šlapavo, ali ova roza boja mi se sviđa, morat ću smisliti neki drugi način da ih nosim.

    Možda su helanke ipak višak iako mi se najiskrenije dopada ceo utisak koji ostavlja kombinacija. To je ono kad se sve slaže ali nešto ne štima :) U svakom slučaju, imala sam i ja takve kombinacije, haljina i helanke pa onda još patike na sve to, ali to se nosilo pre 10-ak godina pa kao nema veze :D

    I really like the combination of the dress and leggings together, and how you've done your hair! :)

    The only thing that I might change would be the shoes - maybe ones without an ankle strap, like some pretty flats, as you have the line of the leggings and the line of the strap together. But honestly, I'm only saying that as you said there was something you didn't like and that's the only thing I could guess - it's a nice outfit! :)

    Kombinacija je sasvim ok, meni se dopada kako ti stoji. Ali ako ti nije dobar osecaj onda-skidaj helanke. Imam pun orman stvari koje cekaju godinama da ih iskombinujem sa necim pa da kombinacija bude idealna, jer mi sada nije dobar osecaj.

    I remember this beautiful dress! And I understand your wish to try some new variants to wear it. Dressing is about experimenting too, isn't it? I think these legging are fine with the dress, they are of such a nice bright colour and they make the dress look different, exactly what you wanted. The only thing, I would wear different shoes here, flats...maybe of sporty type. Then I think the look would be even more interesting.

    I think the pink works very well with the pink flowers. I also don't think it's not bad, it works, and I'm not just saying it because, you know, I'm commenting. I wouldn't have commented if I didn't like it. I think leggings add a bit of a sporty chic to the outfit. The shoes...maybe I'd chosen a pair of Converse or flats )) That's about it.     E po naslovu sam sad očekivala neku totalnu strahotu, kad ono...sasvim simpatično :) Ja bi vjerojatno izbacila tajice jer je haljina baš lijepa i stvarno joj ništa ne treba, ali mi ovako svejedno ne smeta. Iako jako dobro znam taj osjećaj kad si u nečemu i ne osjećaš se dobro i imaš dojam da nešto ne štima, a zapravo ne znaš što.

      stvarno mi nešto ne štima, možda bi uz čizmice neke ili visoke patike možda čak i mogle proći gege, ali uz ove sandale ne ide nikako.

    Vidiš meni se baš sviđa kombinacija :) Možda bi bilo još bolje da je haljinica malo kraća pa da bude ono kao tunika, ali da ne filozofiram sad puno, meni je baš simpa outfit. Promijenila bih jedino torbicu jer mi je malo 'preteška' za ovu lepršavost i boje.

    sorry my dear, but i think this outfit is way over the top.
    you know i love leggings like you do, but this one is a big "NO". Why? Just the colour. i think this pink colour is just to loud. This oufit is ok on a 80 years motto-party, but for the public - i would say: no.

With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Belluci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.  The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration!
