SPRING STYLING IN MOSTAR: A VINTAGE LEATHER JACKET

Hello readers and fellow bloggers! In this post, I'll show you what I wore today for a stroll around Mostar town. In fact, we'll explore the town together. This is such  gorgeous town, isn't it? Sure, I showed you all of these places before, but one cannot have enough of the good stuff. While we were strolling today, I knew that I just had  to take some photographs near these legendary trees I do live for that 'be a tourist in your own city' concept (check out this post from 2015 to see what I mean).

It was a lovely sunny spring day today but rather windy. The solution for such days: a leather jacket! I paired this vintage jacket with a grey vintage skirt,  mini grey bag, a scarf and a pair of high brown boots. Once again, I shopped my closet for this outfit. I honestly don't remember the last time I bought some item. I seem to excel at shopping my closet. All of the items I wore were featured on my blog before. So, this spring styling is definitely  a sustainable one. To learn more about my outfit and location, scroll down.

ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SPOTS IN MOSTAR IS THIS BEAUTIFUL HISTORICAL STREET WITH PLANE TREES IN MOSTAR When I first came into Mostar, I have fallen in love with one particular street. It was the trees that so enamored me. They belong to the Platanus family of trees. In English they are called plane or plane trees. These trees were planted in 1889 to welcome Belgian Crown princess Stephanie and Crown prince Rudolf of Austria and to celebrate their visit to Mostar. You see, many villas in this street date from the nineteen century. This street with these two rows of these wonderful plane trees was named Stephanie Alle in honour of the visiting Belgian princess (today it is known as street of prince Branimir). Interesting, isn't it?

Before I link up my clothing items, I'll share some (old and new) links  about Mostar town.

MOSTAR IS  A TOWN OF MANY BRIDGES- the one I'm posing on is a small but charming one, located right next to the street with old plane trees. There's always some cute ducks in vicinity of Radobolja river. This is  pretty good spot to take photographs as it is not on the main road. I often take photos here. On the opposite side of this bridge, you can also capture the town's cathedral in your shot.

ONE OF THE KEY ITEMS IN MY WARDROBE- A VINTAGE LEATHER JACKET

A leather jacket can be such a perfect transitional piece, wouldn't you agree? I'm very attached to this vintage item. My husband received it as a gift from his late brother more than thirty years ago. I feel so lucky to be able to wear it, for both practical (it's a high quality leather jacket) and sentimental reasons. As I always say, there are many benefits to shopping your closet. I genuinely do enjoy thinking of different ways to wear an item. It's not just about sustainability, I have fun shopping my closet. Moreover, I also enjoy shopping my husband's closet. If you have a significant other or a friend that doesn't mind you borrowing clothes from them, they you're truly lucky.

I HAVE ILLUSTRATED THIS LEATHER JACKET TWICE!  HERE & HERE

Browsing my archives I realized that I have illustrated this leather jacket at least twice before. Moreover, counting the post today I have illustrated this pair of high brown boots four times! Is it me or am I starting to wear the items I have illustrated more often? Do you think that's possible? Perhaps illustrating them creates a sort of  visual fashion memento in my head.

I HAVE ILLUSTRATED THIS PAIR OF BROWN BOOTS THREE TIMES!

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.
