2 OUTFITS: SUSHI DATE & EXPLORING STREET ART IN MOSTAR CITY

Image
EN Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! Today I'll show you two outfits I wore this March. One was more dressed up, the other more casual. The first outfit I wore for a sushi date with my husband in taboo bar (not sponsored) and the second for a stroll exploring street art in Mostar city. I shopped my closet for both of these outfits. Scroll down to see more.  HR  Pozdrav dragi čitatelji i blogeri! SUSHI DATE STYLING- CHERRY PRINT DRESS PAIRED WITH AN OLIVE BLAZER I paired my cherry print dress (five ways to style it here ) with stiletto heels (last worn here ) and an olive blazer (worn here ). It was a warm day, but I still

VISIT BLAGAJ FORTESS WITH ME (BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA)

Image
Hello readers! Today I'm taking you to fortress of medieval king Stjepan Kosaca. This fortress overlooking Blagaj village (near Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina) is simply a must visit for lovers of history. This fortress is known under two names: Blagaj fort and Stjepan grad (Stjepan's town). Dating back to 15th century, this gorgeous historical town-fortress is well worth the climb. It is officially protected and listed among national monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  We visited it earlier this March with some friends. We drove to Blagaj (blogged about it  here ), asked the locals for directions and went our way up. You can drive up to a certain point, but then you have to climb your way up. It is not a long climb, about half an hour in my estimation. The views while you climb are beautiful but once you enter the fortress, the panorama becomes simply incredible. The panoramic view from the top of the fortress is one of the most beautiful I have seen in my life.  I'm n

TRAVEL WITH MY ART #5: FRANCISCAN MONASTERY, HVAR TOWN, CROATIA

Image
Hello! I'm continuing with Travel With My Art series. The idea is to travel together with the help of my art. Every time I will show you a different location I illustrated and write about it. Today I have a new painting to share with you and this time I illustrated a historical Franciscan monastery on island Hvar. Yesterday I shared a watercolour painting of Split and today I will take you to Hvar town.  As some of you might remember, last year I lived on island Hvar. Having had enough time to study this beautiful island, now I feel confident in illustrating it.  A HISTORICAL MONASTERY IN HVAR TOWN, CROATIA I visited this monastery last year in February. Read more about it here .  Back then, I  recommended visiting this place and I still stand by my word. Travelling internationally is somewhat restricted for many people right now, but hopefully it will be possible in the near future.  If you find yourself in  Hvar town, consider visiting this beautiful spot. If you stroll around,

TRAVEL WITH MY ART #4: MATEJUŠKA, SPLIT, CROATIA

Image
Hello dear readers! Today I'll share another location illustration with you. As some of you know, I started a new feature on my blog that will be all about virtual travel with the help of my art and sometimes photographs. I think we can all use some virtual travel right now as travelling options are restricted. This watercolour pencil landscape was inspired by Split city, Croatia. More specifically, it was inspired by one of my favourite sights in Split city and that would be these absolutely gorgeous historical stone houses in immediate vicinity of  Matejuška port .  These beautiful stone houses seem to grow out of stones themselves. They look like something straight from the fairy- tale. I can never get tired looking at them, I tell you. So, why not illustrate them? When I saw a photograph of these stone houses in a touristic brochure, I decided to illustrate them and to use that promotional photograph as a reference. I sketched the houses with staetdler watercolour pencils and
