Inspired by.....Idu

Now, you know that a month can't go by without my Inspired by feature.  No matter how pressed for time I might be, I'll do my best to make time for this feature. This fashion illustration was inspired by beautiful Idu from fashionably Idu blog (do check out her blog  here ). All of you who are familiar with my love for bright colours and flare sleeves will understand why I drew this outfit (see the outfit  here ). The medium is coloured pencils on paper. It took me about two hours to make this drawing because there are a lot of details. Ruffles are not the easiest thing to draw, especially when they are paired with flare sleeves but thanks to Zoe's Hong tutorials on YouTube (that and the time I put into practice),  I've made progress.

Today I'm sharing two illustrations with you. The first one is combination of a painting and a drawing (mixed media watercolour and markers), while the other is a drawing but also mixed media one (coloured pencils and markers).  The style is a bit different than my usual illustration, but you know me- always mixing it up. The first illustration is that of a green dress with big sleeves. I do like the trends that came about this Spring. I'm a big fan of colour green so all these greenery vibes really make me happy. Not to say anything of the statement sleeves. I think this trend is here to stay. The second illustration depicts a summer outfit. I love illustrating swimsuits.  The location I had in mind for the second illustration is this one  (just in case anyone is wondering).  Danas sa vama dijelim dvije ilustracije. Prva je kombinacija slike i crteža (mješani medij: vodene boje i markeri), dok je druga crtež ali isto pomiješan medij (bojice i markeri). Stil je malo drugač

Remember the Ston Walls I told you about? Well, they connect the Ston city with this nearby village that is called Mali Ston (meaning little Ston).  This village is only about a kilometer and half away from Ston city so you can basically walk there from Ston (or drive two minutes if you don't like walking).  Little Ston (Mali Ston) is quite famous for its oysters and seafood. If you decide to dine here, you must try the oysters and/or mussels.  As you will see on these photographs, the oysters are farmed here so obviously they can't get any fresher than this.  As I mentioned in my previous post , I was here on an unplanned trip on the first of May. In retrospective, my only regret was not taking a swimsuit. The sea was quite warm and the local beaches looked quite inviting. The Adriatic is very calm here. Truth be told, if I could afford a vacation right now, this is the place I would choose. I always felt at home in Dubrovnik area. Many years ago, I spent some time living in
