This illustration has been inspired by Margot from I am every woman blog. The medium is pencil on paper. I really liked this monochrome styling with a touch of tartan print (on the collar and the cuffs of sleeves). How do you like this outfit?
Dear Ivana, hopefully you are fine and you had a wonderful weekend! I love the perfection of this illustration - what you made turned out wonderful! Thanks for sharing! xx from Bavaria/Germany, Rena www.dressedwithsoul.com
Baci! S https://s-fashion-avenue.blogspot.it
Thats a really good illustration, Ivana! I must say I prefer the ones that are with colours though but that's because they really make your illustrations come to live.
REally lovely, I liked the illustration very much, ballerinas are something understated, that people think don't look as good as high heels, but I love them! I wish you a lovely day, dear Ivana! DenisesPlanet.com
Your the newest illustration is terrific, I really like that you decided to use pencil here, again, you did great work on this drawing. What's more, your description of this outfit sounds so interesting so I visited Margot's blog - it turned out that she is from Poland too, ha ;) Moreover, glad to here that everything is fine with you, my dear, I hope that you're having lovely evening as well. ;)
All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism.
Hello, there! In this post, I'll mix up fashion and art, books and style (as usual, you might say). Recently I have acquired a copy of Anna Karenina in Italian. I picked it up in my favourite vintage book shop in Split. More about that later, let's talk about the location and the outfit for a second. How do you like this styling? Looking at it now, it's giving me feminine vintage vibes. I just love its earthy colour palette. It matches the vintage cover quite nicely! I wasn't going for a full historical look, but m y outfit is mostly vintage, as I will soon explain in more detail soon. The location is restaurant Romanca in Mostar. How many times I have posted photographs from this restaurant? I've truly lost count, but I'm pretty sure January 2024 was the last time. I think it's the unique location of Romanca restaurant that appeals to me. This restaurant is located within a vineyard. It creates a wonderful atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Moreover, the
What can I say about today's outfit? Paring jeggings with a sweater dress (or if you wish you can also call it a long sweater) is no brainer. Doc martens are always a good choice and often I like to wear them like this, with socks rolled up over the boots. If the socks in question are wool ones, then one is pretty sure that his or her feet will be extremely warm. This beanie is also made from wool and what makes it very special is the fact that my grandmother made it for me. Wool is great because it helps us stay warm. Cold lowers our immunity (i.e. makes us immune system more vulnerable), so it is important to stay warm during Winter. To finish this look, I opted for this lovely necklace ( here ) and this elegant bag because I like how they create a contrast with this otherwise grunge outfit.
Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! Published in 2021, this postmodern novel follows two story lines and uses framed narration. The Island of Missing Trees tells the life story of a Greek Turkish couple and their adolescent daughter. This novel examines and explores a number of topics such as identity, migration, immigrant life, war trauma, memory, love and family. It's an ambitious novel that examines serious topics with due respect and sensitivity . I read it months ago, but I remember it vividly. Honestly, I cried a lot while reading this novel. It really moved me greatly. In fact, that is probably why it took me this long to finish this book review. I needed to emotionally process the story. The Island of Missing Trees is set in London and Cyprus. The narration isn't chronological . The story jumps back and forth, following two main timelines, one set in moder
Hello, there! Another day, another reading recommendation. Today I'd like to recommend a historical novel by Croatian author Ivan Aralica Ivan Aralica . The title could be translated as The Builder of an Inn. The novel is set during Napoleon wars. More precisely, the novel takes places during the French occupation of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The author is extremely knowledgeable about this period and exceptionally gifted at recreating past times. However, this novel is more focused on the psychological exploration of its main characters than on historical events or politics. I would dare to say this is the case with most (if not all) of Aralica's novels. Aralica is an author who focuses on the fates of 'common' people during turbulent historical times. Ivan Aralica's writing is more on the deep and philosophical side. He often writes about friendships formed between people belonging to different nations, religions and classes. Born in 1930, this author
If I was a shoppingholic I would say : 'I was so happy when I bought this tote bag, I mean isn't this inscription so adorable?'. However, since I'm a DIYaholic, I must say: 'I was so happy when I hand painted this old tote bag. Isn't this incription I made so adorable?'. Hm, now that I think about it, there is a certain similiarity between a shopaholic and a DIYaholic. We're both passionate about things and we invest a certain amount of time in getting what we want. To each its own as they say, so far I prefer DIY, but there are certainly advantages to shopping, like not having to spend half a day cleaning your house after all your DIY projects. So you remember these sunglasses that I repainted recently? Well, there is another DIY element in the look and it is this lovely earring that I will talk more about some other time..... In the meantime, you can see this tote bag styled for the first time here . You can see one of my numerous 'let's
A few days ago a package from wholesalebuying arrived. This was my second collaboration with this site and so far so good. Check out their top sellers here . This time I ordered this pair of heels. I've been eyeing them for a while now. I'm really happy I ordered them because they look even better than on the site. I'm only sorry that my foot is still swollen, so I wasn't able to take them for a proper walk. Instead of that, I just took some photographs indoors. These are photos from my instagram, as I don't have my cam or my photograph with me. Have a lovely day everyone!
It was raining when these photographs were taken and the weather was rather gloomy, but I didn't mind. Can you guess why? Recently I've talked about my love for patterns and prints. Well, I'm feeling quite happy right now because I received two dresses from dresslink. Both of them are exactly my cup of tea. It feels so nice to slip into a cute dress. It always make me feel more feminine and lady like. That would be all for today. Have a great weekend! Ugodan vikend! post update: Another way to wear this pattern dress. This polka dot pattern with roses is so chic! striped dress/haljina na prugice
My Sights to see, places to visit feature would surely be missing something if I didn't include this little village Goranci in the list of places to visit. This charming little village is situated in the vicinity of Mostar. I love to go there to espace the city heat. If you are into cycling, you'd be happy to hear that you can rent a bike for free. You just need to leave your ID in the restaurant Goranci and you can take the bike. There is a wonderful cycling and pedestrian walk so be sure to check it out. As of recently, there is also a beautiful park at your disposal. This park is growing daily as new things are added to it(toys for kids and that sorts of stuff). If you look closely, you'll be able to see that some decorative trees are still being planted at the enterance to this park. You can read some of my previous posts about this village here , here and here .
If you truly love the sea, you won't admire it only during the warmer months. My love for the sea is not limited to Summer. Croatian seaside during Winter is pure magic. When the cold northern wind clears the air, the islands seem within a hand's reach. I have a feeling that the islands encircle the coast the way planets encircle the sun. My imagination encloses itself in this landscape, in this giant sea shell, soothed by its beauty and gently polished like a pearl, my imagination is reborn.
