Advent in Split/ Advent u Splitu
As far as I'm concerned, Santa can keep all the snow for himself. This is my kind of Advent. Split city soaked in sunshine. Mediterranean Christmas is my kind of Christmas. Sunshine, sunshine and more sunshine....I couldn't be happier about the amount of sunshine we've been having. Now, about the outfit. My foot is still swollen and walking is still quite paintful. Dr. Martens boots and startas sneakers are the only pairs of shoes that I can wear and I'll probably be wearing them for a while. I've been living in dr.martens boots and startas sneakers for the last ten days. There is no indication that my foot will get better anytime soon, but at least nothing is broken. Things will return to normal sooner or later. In the meantime, life without heels has been strange. I was so used to wearing them all the time, I feel like I have lost my balance. We're all creatures of habit sometimes.

DeleteYou look really great Pretty! Nice bag and jacket:)

DeleteFor me, I love the snow! My heart yearns currently for a walk in a snowy, quiet woods. It is very cool to see how Christmas looks in your area though. And those mountains call to me greatly. Lovely shots!
ReplyDeleteAll Things Bright and Lovely
Those mountains call to me too:) If my car wasn't my own age, I would try to reach them for sure.
DeleteI want the sun to come out already! I can't leave the house because it's raining hard. :( It's nice to see you happy in these beautiful photos <3
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day!

thank you sweetie, I hope you get some sunshine soon.
DeleteI'm sorry to hear about your poor foot. I do hope it gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm the opposite with shoes as I wear my teal doc martens most days and wearing heels is a bit of a shock. In fact, this week I've been mostly wearing knee high boots and having that heel and walking 3miles on it has made a difference.
It is always nice to see sunny Split and dream of sunnier times!!!Xx
thanks Kezzie
DeleteReally love that jacket!!

DeleteDear Ivana,
ReplyDeleteI like this weather, too. And your beautiful necklace! It gives your outfit an enormous amount of pep. And I think with your slim figure you can wear Doc Martens boots very well! Nevertheless, I wish your leg a speedy recovery!

thank you, I do like this necklace.
DeleteLucky you have the sun. Split looks so beautiful and you look even more beautiful. It's freezing here in SanFrancisco and I have the heater on full blast and of course the skies are grey with no signs of the sun making an appearance. But what happened to your leg? Omg I must have missed that but I sure am glad you're feeling better. Doc Martens is a good substitute until ur 100% again. Feel better babe. Stunning necklace btw.

thanks sweetie:) I have no idea what happened to my leg, it has been swollen for almost two weeks now.
DeleteWhat a lovely place! I love the warmer weather too but on Christmas I really want snow then it can leave again haha :)

DeleteGorgeous! You look lovely Ivana!
ReplyDeleteReally interesting post...thx for sharing! xx
thanks
DeleteThis city is so beautiful, dear Ivana! I am sorry, I didn't know you had a problem with your foot, hope it gets better soon! I had college exams and Christmas preparation and vacations to prepare - so my time was really terrible, but from the middle of January again it will be OK! I loved your outfit, and you look great in Dr. Martens! I used to wear high heels every day and only that, till some years ago, 2 or 3. Then a friend "introduced me" to flats and now I love them!
ReplyDeleteDenisesPlanet.com
thank you Denise:) I love dr. martens but I really miss wearing my heels.
DeleteThat looks like a nice comfortable casual denim outfit! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you are still having problems with your foot, but it's great that you have some flat shoes you can wear while i heals, so you can still get around!
Love the bright statement necklace against the dark top too!

Look at all that gorgeous sunshine - Split looks fantastic! You look casually chic in your jeans and DMs, and your necklace is a beautiful splash of bright colour. xxx
ReplyDeleteDraga Ivana!
ReplyDeleteTo su vrlo lijepe slike od grada Splita i od tebe.
Želim ti lijep 4. Advent
Puno pozdrava iz Njemačka!

DeleteI find myself lingering with envy over the clear sunny skies in your photos here and the clarity of the light. And in spite of your swollen foot, your smile is radiant. Ahhhh, back to peering out at the lowering grey skies and listening to the rain and contemplating whether a damp walk will be worth the amount of mud I'll bring back on my boots. Happy festive season - I prefer your version of the weather!
ReplyDeletethank you Rosalind, I prefer sunny weather too.
DeleteWhat a beautiful day this was to take pictures! I hope your foot is better soon, although the boots look cool :-). Hugs xxx
ReplyDeletethank you Linda:) I'll be wearing these boots a lot in the future I'm afraid :)
DeleteSplit is sooo lovely, and so are you, honey!
ReplyDeleteYou look super pretty and sunny :)
I miss all the sunshine in England but today we had good weather (for like a few hours lol) so that's a bonus :)
Also, you've got a fab artistic talent, hon. Lovely sketch!

DeleteDear Ivana, so sorry your foot is still swollen but at least you are obviously able to walk a bit in your Doc Martens shoes. But I understand what you mean with missing heels :) When I started a few months ago more and more flats first my colleagues were sursprised that I'm much more petite as they thought and also for me the sight from the reduced height was much different ... but now I'm more and more used to flats :) You look nevertheless good in your look with the elegant jacket and Split absolutely warm and sunny! Wish you a wonderful last week of Advent and hopefully the Doctors are wrong and your foot will recover very soon.

DeleteI'm totally with you and I'll take a sun-filled and warm Christmas over a snowy one any day. We are having a similar weather pattern in NYC this year and the forecast is indicating that it will be one of the warmest ones ever. In fact on Christmas eve, we might be getting summer-like temps. I know that climate change is probably responsible for this and that's bad but I still can't help but look forward to it. That's bad news about your foot but you're doing the right thing by sticking with sneakers and Docs for now. With heels you might just prolong the swelling which is the last thing you need. It's a good thing nothing is broken but be careful and keep it elevated and ice it when you're at home.
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way! I feel bad about the climate change, but I love the sun:)
DeleteI absolutely agree with you Ivana, Mediterranean winter is my kind of winter too) YHere in cold and freezing Canada such a warm weather is abnormal, but I love it so so much!
ReplyDeleteYou look great, loving the statement necklace on you sweetie! Wishing you faster recovery so you can rock your favorite heels any time soon!
