SUPPORTING LOCAL DESIGNERS IN MOSTAR: TRANSITIONAL AUTUMN STYLING WITH OZZ BRAND

Hello readers and fellow bloggers! In this post, I'll share two transitional outfits featuring a lilac skirt from fashion designer Stanka Zovko. If you're a regular reader of this blog, you've probably seen this skirt before. Afterall, I'm really good at shopping my closet. I've been wearing this lilac skirt a lot in the past few months. It's also a great piece for transitional weather because it can be easily layered, or dressed up and down.

Supporting local designers and artisans is certainly something that pays off in the long run. If you want to own unique pieces and at the same time, support your local community, you should really explore shopping local, or commissioning local artisans and designers.  Sustainability in fashion is a big topic nowadays! However, sometimes I feel like people make it more complicated than it really is. We should go back to our origins. Explore vintage, second hand and local shopping. Learn how to stay away from the big shopping centres. Learn how to avoid making mindless fast fashion orders. Replace bad shopping habits with good ones.

When it comes to fashion, exploring local designers, artisans, craftsmen and seamstresses can be such an enriching, inspiring and even educating experience. It's certainly something I'd recommend. A lot of people want a souvenir when they're visiting a certain place. Shopping local designers is the way to go. If you want to take a souvenir from Mostar, there is a local designer store in Mepas mall and in Orca mall you can find fashion designer Stanka Zovko and her brand Ozz. That's the designer I'm wearing today. BTW This post is in no way, shape or form sponsored. I'm just writing about what I find inspirational. Scroll down to see and read more!

TWO WEEKENDS OUTFITS FEATURING OZZ LILAC SKIRT

Both of these outfits were weekend outfits for a stroll around the town. Both times I wanted to get dressed up. Without false modesty, I think both of these outfits worked. To borrow gen Z slang, I think I kind of ate with them. I noticed that I started using way too much gen Z slang recently, odd considering that I'm a millennial, but I suppose it might be because I'm around my students a lot?

SO, LET'S BREAK THESE OUTFITS DOWN! HOW I WORE IT BEFORE?

WHITE LACED RUMPER PAIRED WITH A LILAC SKIRT, A WHITE CLUTCH AND A PAIR OF POINTY LEOPARD HEELS

I felt really pretty and feminine in this styling. I think white and lilac works so well together, especially as this skirt has tiny white dots. Moreover, the lace fabric matches with the silky fabric of the skirt. Both fabrics have a luxurious feeling for them. I mean lace is always a classic, isn't?

HOW I WORE THESE CLOTHING ITEMS BEFORE? SUSTAINBLE FASHION

THE WHITE LACE ROMPER WITH A V NECT CUT- second hand purchase

This romper was a second hand purchase and is one of the items I bought in Split last Summer. If you recall, I had a little preloved shopping haul, and I must say I did really good. I actually didn't even notice that this was a romper, I thought it was a short dress and I intended to wear it to work over pants (since we have a black and white dress code at work, I stocked on white blouses and tunics). However, I'm really happy that it's a romper, because I never had a romper/playsuit like this one. Sure, it's too short to wear on its own, I'll need to wear tights with it always, but still, it's so cool!

In this combo, the romper is actually quite visible because I wore black tights and this skirt is quite transparent. Actually, when I tried this skirt on (well, the whole set), I realized how sheer it is, and I wasn't sure whether to buy it. However, when the designer gifted me a cream underskirt to wear under this lilac skirt, I didn't think twice. Seeing how the white 'shorts' are visible here under the skirt, I think it looks quite unique and fun. I'd like to try this same outfit but with different coloured tights. I do like the contrast with the black tights, but I think blue or pink tights would be an interesting choice as well.

THE POINTY LEOPARD HEELS - OLD

34 WAYS TO STYLE A PAIR OF POINTY LEOPARD HEELS

These pointy leopard heels are surprisingly comfortable. When it comes to sustainable fashion, people often advise us that we invest in classic pieces we will wear often. However, what is classic?  For me, leopard print is classic. For someone else, it might be another thing completely. To be sustainable, you have to find your own classics. As they say, find your own definition of success!

THE WHITE SNEAKERS/TRAINERS- old (Deichman)

I'm not a trainer girl, I don't really wear trainers. Sometimes I will wear an imitation converse, but really I only wear trainers if I'm actually going for a run or something like that. However I wanted to do something different with this look. When I put it together, it looked so dressed up I actually had the urge to dress it down. So, I opted for this pair of white sneakers. They look brand new because  I have hardly worn them. I found them to be quite uncomfortable. I'm not sure is it because they're not well made or because I'm not used to wearing sneakers. Anyway, I know that I have worn them on blog before but I cannot find a link right now.

OLD CITY IN MOSTAR IS STUNNING! IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE, MAKE SURE YOU VISITI IT!

FLATS ARE A MUST IF YOU'RE VISITING THE OLD PART OF THE TOWN!

DO WEAR FLATS OR TRAINERS IF YOU'RE VISITING THE OLD BRIDGE IN MOSTAR (ONE OF THE SYMBOLS OF THE CITY)
The Old Bridge in Mostar is possibly the most famous bridge in Mostar city.  It is a rebuild Ottoman bridge, dating back to the 16th century. It is easily recognizable and often referred to as Mostar bridge (or more frequently simply as Old Bridge). Many tourists visit the Old Bridge area, and you can find many restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops at every corner. This beautiful historical bridge is one of the trademarks and symbols of Mostar city. The area around Old Bridge is a wonderful mix of Western and Eastern architectural influences, heightened by the ever present Mediterranean atmosphere and vibes that add something wonderfully relaxing to it. Here can see the architectural legacy left by the Ottoman (mostly 15/16th century) and Austrian Hungarian Empire (19/20th century) as well as by other bigger and smaller cultural and ethical groups. Mediterranean Slavic countries are  often a mix of Western and Eastern influences, and this is evident in everything from religious buildings to road and bridges. To experience the Old Bridge, you need to visit it yourself. Words can't fully describe it. The view from the Old Bridge is stunning. I'm always writing about how gorgeous Neretva river is, but combine its beauty with the historical part of the city and you get something truly epic.

Thank you for reading and visiting! Have a lovely day.

    Bellissime foto!
    Baci!
