Merry Christmas / Sretan Božić

Merry Christmas if you are celebrating it! Wearing a summer beach dress for a Christmas day? If you live in a warm climate, why not? I've perfected wearing Summer clothes in Winter. Long live the layering. As you may notice, I'm still earth bound (no sky heels for now), that is unable to wear anything but sneakers....and startas sneakers are the best choice because they're light. So, that is another reason why I'm grateful for this warm weather you can see on these photographs. Actually, I'm celebrating Christmas in Mostar (where it is also warm and sunny),  not Split but for now I'm leaving you with images of sunny Split. Tomorrow if all goes well, you'll see how I celebrated Christmas.

 Na dobro vam došao Badnji dan i Sretan Božić ako ga slavite! Nošenje ljetne haljine za plažu na Božić? Zašto ne, pogotovo ako živite gdje je klima topla? Usavršila sam nošenje ljetne odjeće zimi. Živjelo slojevito odijevanje.  Kao što možete primijetiti, još sam vezana za zemlju (nema visina zahvaljujući nekim visokim petama), to jest mogu nositi samo tenisice, a startasice su najbolji izbor jer su lagane.  Još jedan razlog zašto sam zahvalna za ovo toplo vrijeme. Zapravo Božić slavim u Mostaru ( i ovdje je toplo i sunčano), a ne Splitu, ali zasada vam ostavljam sa slikama sunčanoga Splita. Sutra ako sve prođe dobro, pokazati ću vam kako sam slavila Božić.

    Ja nemam reči koliko mi se sviđa ta na prvi pogled nespojiva kombinacija. Toliko se sve savršeno uklapa! Ko bi rekao da letnja haljina, zimska jakna i patike mogu tako dobro da izgledaju zajedno :) Živelo toplo vreme! I ja planiram da nosim nešto što bih nosila i leti :) Srećan Božić!

    What a paradise for Christmas, but I will always chose the snow if I have a choice. This year it was only mud. Mud rarely appears in Christmas songs. You look amazing in that dress, dear!! Especially those beautiful curves, tres wow :) That last shot is a keeper for sure. Oh my!! xoxo

Hello fellow bloggers and/or blog readers! In this post, I'll share my review for Ursula K. Le Guin short story The Wild Girls . Published in 2011, this powerful short story tells a touching tale of slavery , trauma , loss and survival. Sisterly love is at the core of this immensely sad, complex and profound story. If you want to read an intelligent and multifaceted story focused on female characters, and set in a dystopian society, look no further. Don't expect a happy ending, though! This is not that kind of story. I actually listened to this short story (that isn't so short, it sorts of feels like a novella). I planned to listen to it while I do Pilates, but I wasn't aware of how serious and tragic the story truly was. SHADOW AND BONE BY LEIGH BARDUGO (BOOK REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION)

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! In this post, I shall review Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo ,  the first novel in the Shadow and Bone trilogy. Published in 2012, Shadow and Bone is a young adult fantasy novel featuring a young female protagonist Alina Starkov who tries to find her way in a world troubled by war and class divisions. The novel is set in Ravka, a fantasy world inspired by feudal Russia, but still unique in its own way. The world Alina Starkov inhabits has its own mythology and magic, and the worldbuilding is quite interesting. For example, there are Grishas, people who have magical powers, that are partly based on study of science and partly on instinct. It's actually one of my favourite seasonal transitions, because it allows us to easily play with layers and textures.
