A FLORAL VINTAGE SET FOR A VISIT TO BUNICA (NEAR MOSTAR)

How are you doing lovely people? Are you happy that the weekend is ante portas? Today I'll show you another Autumn styling featuring a vintage red floral set consisting of a matching skirt and blouse. Do you like wearing matching sets? It's a pretty colourful outfit I'm wearing here. Do you like wearing colours in Autumn and Winter? I do feel inspired to wear different colours in Autumn, maybe it is because of all the colour changes taking place in nature. Does that makes sense to you? One of the places where the change of season is wonderfully visible is area surrounding Buna river. In fact. The location for these photographs is Bunica recreation area near Mostar. You guys know that I love Buna river, right? I have blogged about this lovely area a number of times on my blog. You can read about and see more of my previous visits herehereherehere here here hereherehere here here , here and here (just click any of these links to see more of this gorgeous natural oasis near Mostar city).

Today I shall talk about styling a vintage short sleeved floral set for colder weather.  I rarely wear the blouse and the skirt  from this floral matching set together. In fact, I usually (for whatever reason) wear them as separates. Most of the time I wear this set in the warmer months. However, I wanted to challenge myself to wear this lovely set for colder weather because I needed a bit of colour infusion. It really wasn't that difficult. It's all about layering. I layered a pink long sleeved top under the floral blouse and a pair of leggings under the skirt. Over that I wore a warm long magenta coat and an oversize tartan scarf and a cozy beanie. I also wore a warm pair of brown boots and a stylish black bag. All of these items I've had for quite some time, so let's do a little link party, shall we?

HOW I WORE IT BEFORE- THE STORY OF MY OUFIT Don't forget that the best way to be sustainable in your fashion choices is by shopping your closet (as I do often enough!)

  1. What a cute outfit, Ivana! I love vintage (as you know), but I've never found a matching top and bottom like this, so I'm totally envious! It really did fool me into thinking it was a dress! I love your winterized styling of it. Layers like thin sweaters/turtlenecks, and leggings and tights, can be life-savers for cold weather, as well as extending the wear period of our clothes.

The colours and patterns are gorgeous, perfect for your outfits in this amazing scenery!

  4. I love the colors. I don't have anything nearly like it in my cheap wardrobe. I do have an floral tunic with Autumn colors I have been trying to wear more because of the season. I have several sweaters to try with it. I love that it is two pieces so you can mix this pieces even more. Love that you put some plaid with it too. Wonderful combinations. I am a fan of the pink spectrum!

  7. That co-ord (as the hipsters call them) looks absolutely wonderful worn together, a fantastic colour for the Winter and fabulous with your tartan scarf and tan leather boots. Loving the hat and sunnies, too - very glam! xxx

  8. Your vintage two-piece is delightful! I have several in my wardrobe, as I find them irresistible, but like you I hardly ever wear the two pieces together. I do, of course, love and wear colour in all seasons, and I really think people should wear more colour in the Autumn and Winter season, as the dark days upon us certainly need brightening. What better way to do that than by wearing colourful clothes? I'm definitely loving your two-piece worn with the magenta coat, magnificent tartan scarf and tan boots! You look totally gorgeous all layered up! xxx

  12. It's lovely how this matching set gives the feel/look of a dress when you style it together. I like matching sets even though I don't own any. And I'm definitely a fan of wearing color during the cooler months. When the weather is dreary you have to make your own sunshine and cheer ;)
