tourist (outfit post)/ turist (odjevna objava)

necklace: DIY/moj ručni rad, sneakers/ tenisice (patike): umbro, the rest/ostalo: no brand

Don't feel bad if you can't travel at the moment. Many people can't afford a vacation and there are always those with small kids for whom travelling is difficult. Just because you're not able to take a vacation doesn't mean you can't have some fun. Being a tourist in your own town can be a lot of fun.

Forget about make up (and hairdos), wear sneakers and jeans and go for that long walk that will show you another side of your town. Find a neighbourhood you haven't been in, discover something new, let yourself be taken over by your inner traveler (we all have an inner traveler in us- that's one of the things I strongly believe in). No matter the size of the town you happen to live in, the chances are there are places in it you haven't seen before.

Imagine that you're a tourist. What would you do? You would walk, you would explore ,you would let yourself and your imagination be occupied by some particular place. You can do all that in the place you live in. Give yourself a benefit of a long walk. Human body was designed for motion and our eyes need their rest from the screens and the virtual world. If it is cold outside, dress warmly (like I had for this occasion, I only regret not taking a cap because it was really windy that day)...and don't forget to dress comfortably either.

All these photos were taken in Mostar, about two week ago. I'm wearing a statement necklace that has been featured in the previous post and that you've asked to see in an outfit post. So, here it is:). Have a great start of the week everyone!

  7. I really agree with you here, Ivana. We have no chance for travelling or taking a holiday for a long time, not as easy with a baby but we love exploring the place where we live. It was gorgeous day during the weekend, warm and so sunny and I managed to wear a sleeveless top for the first time in many months so yay to that!
Hope you had a great Valentine's Day, Ivana! xx

  19. Totally agree with you, my fav words are: 'Human body was designed for motion and our eyes need their rest from the screens and the virtual world.'
Only for walking I can do, but for photos I'm a little bit scared about peoples few accept to appear in the frame or their house. We need to be more then two for this activity.
That river I thought is a frozen water, nice photos. xoxo

  21. Aww this makes me feel better dear! I actually felt a little bad when I think about the fact that I can't travel somewhere else this summer (April,May) in our country. My new job requires me for a long stay and I just can't make my time any flexible for it. Love the idea here, must visit the unexplored places in my city first :) And yes, that lovely statement necklace of your's looks so great!!

    love lots,
    Tin

  26. gosh, these pics are stunning. beautiful place with this river. but your clothings are also good looking. i like your coat and this (surely) warm poloneck. And i think your necklace is a "diy" from you, right?

To be a tourist in your own city is so funny...;-) i am always a "tourist" if i take a walk in a park. i like this hours a lot - it´s so relaxing for me.

To you feeling the same, if you walk alone on different places? Or you ever walk with your husband?

    1. yes, I always find walking relaxing. Sometimes I take a walk with my husband but sometimes I also go alone. Usually if I'm by myself, I don't go to the city but I prefer to go hiking on the hills near my house. I often go hiking there by myself....it makes me feel calmer and better.

    2. unfortunately i have no mountains near my hometown. i must drive with my car nearly 1 hour to be in higher mountain side. that´s why i go in parks - if i´m not going shopping...;-)

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism.
