17 WAYS TO WEAR A BLACK DRESS WITH A BOLD CHERRY PRINT

Hello there! Today I'll show you 17 ways to wear a cherry print dress. This lovely cherry print dress and yours truly go way back. This dress was the very first dress gifted to me by a brand for a review back in 2015 (five years ago!). Since then, I have worn it many times. In fact, this dark cherry print appeared on my blog more than a dozen times. So, I decided to put together one of those 'X ways to wear an item' that you all seem to enjoy. You know, to promote shopping one's closet, sustainable fashion and all that, but equally importantly because it is fun to look back. Some of these outfits I shared before, while others are more recent (I linked up the older looks). Let's get this party started!

A printed dress is a great summer essential. Cherry print has this vintage nostalgia to it that I really like. It's sweet and feminine. A dress like this one really doesn't need much? It is easy to dress up and down. Sometimes I want to simplify things and take it be easy. Sometimes I want to get ready in five minutes. When I feel like that, I tend to simply grab my favourite summer dress, because sometimes you need to rely on your classics. Why not? As I said once, fashion isn't just about trying new things all the time, it's about finding joy in putting an outfit together!Fashion is also about wearing things you like and cherishing your favourite clothing items.  Fashion is about shopping one's closet. That's my personal definition anyway. Scroll down to see how I wore this dress on a number of occasions

  8. The cut and style of this dress are immensely flattering on you - what a classic dress! I call these "jammie dresses" (i.e. pajama dresses) or "one and done" (as in, one item and you're good to go). They are so easy and comfortable to wear, with not a lot of effort. I find that the challenge is changing them up slightly - I enjoy that.

Cherry print is so delightfully retro - that rockabilly look is fun.

    1. Yes, I love your 'jammie' expression. We all need dresses like this one. I wear it for work, dates and all sorts of things. I just put it on and I'm ready to go. The fun challenge is changing the look slightly with accessories.

  16. Hey Ivana, this post about styling a same piece in different occasions with tons of multiple combinations was so good, specially because you styled a dress that has such a powerful and colorful print, many people tend to think that in order to have a sustainable and functional closet we are not allowed to wear prints, but that's a lie! Here you showed us that there are tons of options to make it work!

Love all the combinations, specially the one with the black cap (I have a similar one) and those where you are wearing a coat, this dress is even wearable in the summer!

    Enjoy the weekend!

    1. Thank you Pablo. The black cap is actually my striped cap, I just turned it outside down.

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.
