Drawing of the day (Big eyes, long hair) / Crtež dana (Velike oči, duga kosa)

Here I am with a new drawing. It depicts a girl wearing an off shoulder blouse. It is appropriate for Spring, I would say. I will have to take a break from drawing with pencil for a while. My right hand is swollen and sore. There is only as much work as our hands can take. I think I will stick with painting for a while.  I should probably give that a rest too. Anyhow, that's all for today. Once again I have included a few 'before' photographs, so that you can see the drawing process.

Evo me s novim crtežom. Prikazuje djevojku koja nosi bluzu golih ramena. Prikladno za proljeće, rekla bi. Morat ću uzeti mali odmor od crtanja olovkom. Desna ruka mi je otekla i boli me. Postoji neka granica do koje naše ruke mogu ići.

  6. Hi Ivana! In my opinion everyone needs some rest/ take a break sometimes, so if you feel that you need one from drawing with pencil. I've drawn something from time to time and I totally understand you and your reason for it - drawing with pencil is really time-consuming and it's not (as someone may think) matter of half of hour to end your work. What about this illustration, I really like it, like always I focused on details, well done, Ivana :)

    Take care, dear Ivana!:)

  13. I'm sorry to hear about your hand and I hope that taking a break will help it to feel better. I had a muscle issue with one of my hands recently and rest, hot compresses and light exercise really helped it along. This sketch has a lovely spring like feel and I always enjoy when you take us behind the scenes of your process.

    1. This is not the first time this happened to me. I usually try cold compresses (because of the swelling). I'm not sure is it really the muscle tissue that is inflamed, I think it's the tendons. I'll try giving my hand a prolong rest and if it doesn't help, I'll go and see a doctor.

  14. Dear Ivana, please take care of you! It is not nice that your hand is swollen ... I see you are really hard working in every context! But this drawing turned out so wonderful! I love the hairdo and for sure the off the shoulder blouse!

  18. Nice drawing :) Yes, you're right, washing face with cold tea is good as long as the tea is natural - I mean, it doesn't have chemical aromas like for example lipton's tea.

  21. Such a beautiful drawing as always, my darling! And I love that you have included the drawing process. :) <3 It's always so fascinating to me to see an art piece come to life step by step! Off shoulder tops are my favourite for spring... They are just so feminine and lovely! <3 Thanks for sharing, hun, and I hope that your hand recovers soon! xoxo

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.
