18 WAYS TO WEAR A LONG BEIGE PUFFER

Hello readers and/or fellow bloggers. I hope your week has been up to a good start. February is here and that means we still have two months of winter ahead of us. Winter outwear is a big part of winter fashion. One could even argue that outwear is possibly the most important part of winter style. With a warm and stylish coat/jacket, you're more than half way there, aren't you? Sometimes all we want is to stay warm. That is why a long puffer jacket is such a great option in winter. Pick one in neutral colour and you can wear it in a variety of ways. You can always jazz things up with colourful winter accessories (as I often do)Today I shall show you 18 ways to style a long beige puffer. They say you need to wear an item 30 times in order to make it sustainable. I'm pretty sure I have worn this long beige puffer at least that many times, but I managed to find 18 photographed outfits in my blog archives (I don't take photos of my outfits daily) and that's not a bad number either. I have had this long puffer for a few years and I do wear it a lot. I'm aiming for at least 50 wears, but let's back to the subject. Scroll down to see and read more.

This post will be mostly visual. I will share outfits featuring this long puffer coats. One thing I noticed while browsing these looks is how easy it is to dress this puffer coat up and down. It is true that puffer jackets and coats are a bit more casual in tone, but you can dress them up with heels. I have worn this coat with both dresses and jeans. I find it that a  puffer jacket/coat can work great with both casual and dressy outfits.

I do like puffer jackets. As far as I remember, I have always relied on them in the winter. I have this long beige one that I wear often because it is incredibly warm and comfortable. I also have a long black puffer I wear just as much. Best thing about a puffer jacket is that you can easily dress it up and down. To dress it up all you need is some fancy shoes or boots. A pair of high heeled boots and a nice bag will usually do the trick. Wearing a long puffer jacket in a casual way is no brainer as well. Just pair it with a sweater, jeans and sneakers and you're ready to go. Accessories can change up your puffer jacket look. Choose dressy or feminine ones if you prefer a girly feel to your winter outfits.

Indeed, a long puffer jacket can be a life saver when it comes in creating feminine but warm winter outfits. At time times, it is incredibly easy to style it in a casual way. Now, tell me what kind of coats do you like to wear in winter? Do you like puffer jackets?  What are your favourites when it comes to winter outwear? Do you like coloured and statement coats or do you prefer classical black ones?

  1. Puffer coats are really comfy and fun to wear in winter. I love all the ways you styled this classic coat, particularly with the Burberry scarf. I have 1 puffy jacket that I refer to as my blizzard jacket since it served me well in many large snowstorms! However now that I live in a much warmer climate I don't seem to need winter coats anymore. I still get to accessorize with scarves some days!

  9. The 30 times for sustainability really makes you think sometimes. I know I have pieces in my closet which may not get that much wear (sometimes if that at all) which frustrates me to no end. I've never been a huge fan of a puffy jacket, mainly because I've always thought it would make me look larger than I am. But a few years back I tried a navy one to use for work and haven't looked back. I've definitely worn it more than 30 times now. Maybe triple in the spate of two years!

    1. Thank you Sonia. Yes, the 30 wear rule makes one think. I also have items that I will probably not wear 30 times- not any time soon, such as formal dresses and so on. But it makes me realize that I really need to make most of my purchases practical- best to buy something we know we will wear.

  10. Hey Ivana, how you doing?! This kind of posts are my favorite on my blog since they really teach us something and there is no necessity to have tons of clothes, you can get creative around one garment like this example!

I liked all the options, such a versatile piece, but I adore how this neutral color contrast with colorful stripes like the example you put here :D!

    Baci!

  16. I totally agree that our outwear might be the most important part of winter style. You have definitely demonstrated the style and versatility of your puffer. I favor a long performance down jacket for warmth. Mine is smooth and dark grey. It looks minimal and it may not be the most stylish but honestly during the winter, I'm more concerned about staying warm than anything else and it has seen me through more than a few winters already.

  18. I think the issue with a lot of puffer coats is that they are shapeless, and make us look like giant larvae! This one is wonderful because of the belt (gives you shape) and the removeable fur trim on the hood (for an extra bit of warmth and/or dressiness). I would love a long puffer, but I loathe the colours that most of them come in (sorry, I hate beige!). I had a brown one, but I hated the colour. Because I rarely shop retail I haven't been able to find one that is a decent colour (I would love red, blue, yellow, anything but black, white, beige, brown or grey!).

Great work on at least 18 wearings of your puffer, Ivana!

    1. I agree. Shapelessness is a big issue with puffer. I often belt them or buy ones that come with a belt.

  20. I have to admit I'm not really a fan of puffer coats. I've never owned one as I don't think it suits my style, but never say never: who knows I might not bump into one in a spectacular colour in the charity shops?
My preferred coats for winter are classic wool or tweed ones, if possible with fur trim. I have several, as I love to be able to change my outerwear. My favourites are two brown textured wool coats, one with fur collar and hem, and my beloved green, fur collared one. With my pale colouring, I really can't do beige, either. But you certainly carry yours off magnificently. I love it that it has removable fur trim - that is, if my eyes aren't deceiving me. Well done on 18 different wears, Ivana. Hope you're having a great week so far! xxx

    1. Thank you so much. I can understand why you are not a fan of puffer coats. They are not exactly in vintage style and they don't fit most vintage outfits. It does have a removable faux fur trim, I often wear it with other coats now.
