4 DECEMBER WINTER OUTFITS AND WONDERFUL DESTINATIONS NEAR MOSTAR
I planned to publish this post yesterday but that the earthquake in Croatia happened. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't emotionally affected by it. I have both family and friends living in affected areas, so it is only natural I worry about it. I'm only comforted by the fact that Croatia has a lot of experience in helping refugees and is often much better organized than many larger and more 'developed' countries. We've all seen how ineffective some supposedly 'developed' countries are at helping their own population during some crises that occurred this and previous years. Croats are in that sense wonderfully organized, but still sometimes things are complicated. The housing question was quickly resolved since many opened their doors to victims of earthquake. However, people who own domestic animals (such as horses and cows) naturally do not want and cannot abandon them, so for them these are hard times as they are spending their days in the cold so that they could take care of their animals. These kind of serious natural catastrophes are always hard even when the entire country is well organized and willing to help. Always be grateful for what you have and remember that many do not have a roof over their head. Anyhow, today I'm back with four December outfit and location posts. I'll show you four wonderful locations in immediate vicinity of Mostar city, as well as what I wore to visit them this December.
4 WONDERFUL DESTINATIONS IN IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF MOSTAR CITY
BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
THE MEDIVEAL FORTRESS OF KING STJEPAN KOSACHA
We didn't plan on visiting this fortress that day, we went to buy some groceries but then we also decided to go for a drive and somehow the road took us towards the medieval fortress of king Stjepan Kosacha. I was surprised by how close it is to Mostar, only a short drive away. We didn't actually visit the fortress because it was raining but we admire it from afar. What did I wear?
ROMANCA RESTAURANT LOCATED IN A HEART OF VINEYARD - Romanca restaurant has been our go to dinning place since we got back from island Hvar. Located only ten kilometers from Mostar, it is a wonderful place to get away from the city. It was never crowded on those occasions we visited it and as you are pretty much surrounded by a vineyard from all sides, you feel wonderfully secluded and safe. For me visit to this restaurant I wore my trusted grey dress (aiming for those thirty wears with this one!), a short black coat (I'm over 30 wears with it), a brown bag (I think I reached 30 with this one) and a pair of heeled boots (the same as features in the first outfit, had them for years). I also added my yellow scarf for a pop of colour. I plan to do 30 wears post with this scarf soon.
HUM - A HILL OVERLOOKING MOSTAR CITY
On one windy and cold but wonderfully sunny day in December, we also visited Hum hill. As I pointed out many times on this blog of mine, Hum hills offers a great view of panorama of not only the city itself but of neighbouring mountains and hills. It is a must place to visit if you stop in Mostar. We didn't linger long because it was quite cold and windy. I wore my beige beanie I had for ages, my green tartan jacket that I reached more than thirty wears with, a long black cardi, a pair of zebra leggings, a burgundy bag and my trusted dr. Martens boots.

Sjajan post. 🥰

The news of the earthquake was terrible. It is sad that so many people have been affected just before the next year begins. It is good that the country was able to react quickly and provide help.
ReplyDeleteAnd the outfits, as always, are great.
These are great outifts and lovely photos :-D
ReplyDeleteSending my love and prayers :-D
Baš me je pogodilo ovo sa zemljotresom i duša me mnogo boli.
