A Super Quick illustration of the Day / Super brza ilustracija dana

Often in my life I have struggled with finding time for art. Sometimes I really had too much on my hand, and sometimes I needed to organize myself better. I'm sure we have all been there. We want to draw and illustrate, but the days keep getting shorter. Sometimes we need to organize ourselves better, sometimes we need some rest. Either way, doing quick illustrations is a fantastic way to keep our creative juices flowing.

I ALSO ILLUSTRATE FASHION BLOGGERS- In this post from last March, I shared two fashion illustrations I made inspired by one of Silvia Negretti's outfits.  As some of you might know, there is a regular feature on my blog where I post my art inspired by fashion bloggers. So, this means I'm back with another Inspired by post. This is not the first time I'm illustrating Silvia. I posted  another fashion drawing based on her outfit in 2016. I have been following and reading Silvia's blog S in Fashion Avenue for many years. We might have been started our blogs around the same time, but I remember hers was one of the first blogs I discovered. I always find great fashion inspiration there. 

There is another regular feature on my blog where I post fashion illustrations called: Friday Fashion Illustration! My last post in this category was published at the end of February: 


Prior to that, there was a Friday illustration post published last month and it wasn't exactly a proper Fashion Illustration Friday as it featured an old illustration of mine, but still maybe it counts!

I shared some new holiday fashion illustrations to wish you Happy New Year, though!

In December, I also shared a happy holidays posts with my art!

In December 2024, I also shared a fashion illustration of my khaki outfit I wore for a visit to Čapljina.

SIX OF CROWS BY LEIGH BARDUGO, A DETAILED BOOK REVIEW

  Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers. In this post, I shall review Six of Crows , a fantasy novel by Leigh Bardugo . Published in 2015,  it is set two years after events described in   Ruin and Raising (that is the final novel in the Shadow & Bone Trilogy ). Six of Crows is a duology, meaning that it has a sequel, but first things first.  So, I've read Six of Crows . Was it worth the hype? Yes, it most definitely was. Compared with the Shadow & Bone trilogy, the writing is smoother. On overall, Six of Crows duology is noticeably more polished when it comes to writing than the Shadow &Bone trilogy. The plot in Six of Crows feels more connected and organized, and every detail seems to fit perfectly. 10 STYLE LESSONS LEARNED FROM MALENA/ MONICA BELLUCCI

With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Bellucci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.   The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration! BLOOD OF ELVES, A NOVEL BY ANDRZEJ SAPKOWSKI, WITCHER #3 (BOOK REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION)

 Hello. In this post, I shall review Blood of Elves , the third book  and the first novel in the Witcher saga.  The first two books in the Witcher saga are collection of short stories. So, Blood of Elves is actually the first novel in the series.  As I explained in my last post, I was a bit surprised to find out that  Sword of Destiny  was a short story collection (for some reason I thought it was a novel), but I was taken by it  immediately. Soon enough, I found myself enjoying the short story format. I must say, I ended up falling in love with the book (    SWORD OF DESTINY BY ANDRZEJ SAPKOWSKI , THE WITCHER SERIES #2 ) .   Nevertheless, I was really curious to read the first novel. Again, I took to it right away. Once I started reading Blood of Elves, I immediately felt drawn into the story. KRAVICA WATERFALL I will never forget visiting Kravice waterfalls for the first time. It was an absolutely magical experience.  The Kravica waterfall is sometimes described as a pearl of Herzegovina. t-shirt dress (outfit post)/ majica haljina (odjevna kombinacija)

I don't have a t-shirt dress in my closet but I found a way to fix that...Moreover, it is  a way that doesn't involves shopping. Imagine that! I just wore a t-shirt over an old dress. You can do this two ways, by keeping the t-shirt the way it was or by tying it in a knot. I styled it both ways in these photographs. What do you say about it? Yes or no? Would you wore a tee like this? The photographs were taken last week in Split city (Trstenik and Zenta to be more precise). You can google these locations it if you want to find out more. I think this is the longest I have ever gone without posting anything. Ever since I started my blog, I've been posting very frequently.  I had a lot of posts prepared ( I always do) but I don't like posting when I don't have the time and energy to visit other blogs (and this flu really got to me). I don't see the point in posting if I know I won't be able to answer the comments. I'm not saying that is the right way, but it is my way.  I've been thinking about blogging lately and I think that following other blogs might be enough for me. I have more than a hundred already written posts, but I'm not sure do I have the need the post them. Maybe it means that it is time to let go of this little place of my own. If I was a shoppingholic I would say : 'I was so happy when I bought this tote bag, I mean isn't this inscription so adorable?'. However, since I'm a DIYaholic, I must say: 'I was so happy when I hand painted this old tote bag. Isn't this incription I made so adorable?'. Hm, now that I think about it, there is a certain similiarity between a shopaholic and a DIYaholic. We're both passionate about things and we invest a certain amount of time in getting what we want. To each its own as they say, so far I prefer DIY, but there are certainly advantages to shopping, like not having to spend half a day cleaning your house after all your DIY projects.
