HOW TO LAYER SEQUIN AND METALLIC DRESSES FOR NYE?

It's the last day of year 2019. What to wear for NYE? If you want to shine, then opting for a shiny outfit makes sense. Fabrics that catch the light such as metallic, sequin, shiny and glitter ones are really trending this year. A nice sequin of metallic dress is a sure way to get noticed.  If your choice is a sequin or a metallic item, then you've probably asked yourself how to layer it. Today I'll show you how I layer some of my metallic and sequin items. A nice coat is always a great thing to throw over a sequin or metallic dress, but that is not the only option. You can also experiment with tops, shirts and blazer. If you're celebrating outside, then layering your NYE outfit REALLY makes sense.


HOW TO LAYER A GOLD SEQUIN MAXI DRESS? 
Bellow you can see how I layered this gold sequin maxi dress with a vintage golden top. Pairing gold with gold makes sense. If you want to make sure you're warm and cozy, throwing on a top over your maxi dress is a good option. Just make sure they match one another nicely. Another option is wearing a mesh top or in my case a long mesh coat (also vintage).



HOW TO LAYER A V-NECK METALLIC DRESS? 
This V-neck wrap metallic dress is such a versatile item. I often wear it to weddings, date nights and special occasions.  It is the perfect thing to grab when I can't figure out what to wear. I even wore it for Christmas dinner twice. Not bad for a dress that only cost me two euros in an outlet shop. If you have a dress like this one, there are a few ways to layer it. To start with, don't forget the tights. Blazers look great with this kind of dresses and so do coats. If you want make you're warm, avoid sandals and opt for a classical pair of stilettos or even boots (if you're celebrating outside). 
HOW TO STYLE A METALLIC DRESS?

This is another vintage number from my closet. I often wear this dress for special occasions. I love the subtle top of metallic. Silver and black is such a darling combination. I like to layer this dress with a red blazer just to create some visual contrast. It looks great layered with a faux coat as well. 

 HOW TO LAYER A VINTAGE METALLIC MAXI DRESS?
When it comes to my favourite metallic items, this vintage maxi dress is the first thing that comes to mind. It is actually a part of the set. The first golden top of this post is the item it came with. However, I like to experiment and pair it with different things. I like how it looks worn with a statement coat and that's how I layer it for winter. See also how I wore it for Christmas day this year. You know, I think there is no need to keep our outfits neutral for New Year celebration. Sequins and metallic fabrics can be paired with vibrant colours for a more dramatic effect. Think red, purple or pink if you want to create a feminine bling bling outfit for this NYE celebration.

    I love all of these looks on you - how smart you are to have so many sparkly pieces in your wardrobe (I have one....just one). That first look is so beautiful and elegant and how smart of you to put a top over a dress! I keep forgetting that I can extend some of my summery clothes into the fall and maybe even winter by putting a long-sleeved top or sweater on over it. I can't believe you found that dress for 2 Euros....that's amazing and it's perfect on you! That wrap-look dress is so pretty on you and I love the red blazer over it and I'm in love with that last skirt and I love the gorgeous wine-colored coat!     oooh, you look so opulent! I love the glam dresses you wore and how you styled them! That gold dress is a beauty and you look stunnng- Helen of Troy does sequins- you look so Greek in those photos at the start! I have a lovely blue sequinned skirt but not worn it so far this year. In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own.
