Dame Iris Murdoch

Finally the weekend is here!  What are your plans for tonight? My plan is to stay in and catch up with blogs. Today's post is going to be short and sweet. Just one outfit and book recommendation. First, something about the outfit.  This kind of styling is appropriate for colder days. How to dress when it is cold? If I managed to learn something during these cold days it would be- layers, layers, layers. Cap are also a good idea. If the weather suddenly improves, you can always put your cap in the bag. The same applies to scarves and gloves. Winter accessories are not only stylish, they are also practical- they were made to keep us warm. Keep warm and take care! Book recommendation of the day? The Sandcastle by Iris Murdoch. I'm a big fan of Murdoch, she was an extraordinary novelist.  You can read my book review here. I published this one on my other blog because I decided that I will publish most of my book reviews there. All the photographs were taken in vicinity of Mostar (the industrial zone).

Konačno je tu vikend! Kakvi su vaši planovi za večeras? Ja ostajem kući i nakonađujem propušteno u čitanju blogova. Današnja objava će biti kratka i slatka. Samo jedna odjevna kombinacija i preporuka knjige. Prvo nešto o kombinaciji koja je prilagođena ovoj zimi. Kako se obući kada je hladno? Ako sam išta naučila ovih hladnih dana, to je važnost slojeva. Kape su također dobra ideja. Popravi li se vrijeme iznenada, lako ih je ponovo ubaciti u torbu. Isto vrijedi i za šalove i rukavice. Zimski modni dodaci nisu samo ukras, oni su napravljeni sa svrhom da nam bude toplo. Tako da pazite na sebe i oblačite se toplo! Preporuka knjige dana? The Sandcastle, roman Iris Murdoch. Jako mi je draga ova književnica, smatram da je posjedovala doista izvaredni talent.  Možete pročitati moj ogled knjige ovdje, objavila sam je na svom drugom blogu jer sam odlučila da ću većinu ogleda knjiga objavljivati tamo.  Sve su fotografije uslikane u industrijskoj zoni u blizini Mostara.

    Dear Ivana, obviously we are doing the same this Saturday evening :) During this day I had a very beautiful walk with my husband in a village very near the Alps and we had a coffee in a hotel there I really like. The destination of the hotel is on a hill and the view there is wonderful. You can spot there even Neuschwanstein castle :)
    I see you had also an obviously nice walk and enjoyed the fantastic weather. I agree that layers are the key for cold days and I do exactly the same you recommend. The look you are wearing here suits you very well.

      I'm a big fan of mountains too. Somehow it has always been the case that the cities I lived in were surrounded by mountains. I guess I'm lucky that way:).

    This is obviously not your latest post but I miss a lot of your outfit posts so here I am. Last weekend was very uneventful for me. Too cold to do anything so I doubled the covers, stayed in bed and watched Lifetime movies. You are definitely layered up and looking cozy. I love hats and live in them these days. Hats and other accessories that I leave on or peel off as the day unravels. You look great. I love the pops of red. I especially love the image where you are lost in the world of reading.     Da, kad stegne zima slojevi su jedino rešenje, naročito za mene zimogrožljivu koja se smrzne i po ovoj blagoj mediteranskoj zimi :D Divne su slike, tako osunčane i vedre, lokacija je pun pogodak, a način na koji mešaš modu i književnost mi je uvek tako inspirativan i osvežavajuć. Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How are you today? I'm back with another Ursula K. Le Guin book review. In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own. I think it functions well as a stand alone novella. I listened to it in audio form, and I didn't have any problems following the story.  The world building is simple and effective. Well, a post about art. Fashion art to be more precise.  I've been on a roll lately with my art posts. After a period of not posting my art at all, due to a variety of reasons, I started posting my art in every post. I got back to my destination art series, and now it's time for another post in my fashion art series. Friday Fashion Illustration  is somewhat of a regular feature on my blog. Today I'll share two watercolour pencil fashion illustrations of mine. I sketched both of them this Summer in my A3 mixed media sketchbook.
