Using acrylic paint to paint on shoes (+OFTD) / Korištenje akrilnih boja za slikanje na cipelama ( i odjevna kombinacija dana)

Remember that DIY project I have recently blogged about here? Well, those boots aren't the only thing I decided to paint with Bleu di Prussia (Prussian blue) acrylic colour. In fact, I also painted one pair of high heels. This pair had a snake print that I decided to keep. So, what I did was to apply only one layer of acrylic paint. In this way, I managed to preserve the original print, I just made it less fleshy and obvious. Before you scroll down to see the photographs of today's outfit, let me just inform you about the location of this outfit post. It is Rodoc, a place that could be described as suburbs of Mostar city. A lovely place. There is one restaurant there I like but I will talk about that some other time.

Sjećate se onoga DIY projekta o kojem sam nedavno pisala ovdje? Te čizme nisu bile jednina stvar koju sam odlučila obojati s prusko plavom akrilnom bojom. Zapravo, obojala sam i još jedan par visokih peta.

I do like how these shoes turned out. I decided to wear them in a feminine outfit that was all about neutral and warm colours. I felt like it was best to make the outfit as elegant as possible, yet I choose to wear a big tote bag. Why? Well, lately I developed a passion for tote bags. They're so practical, aren't they? If you choose one in fake leather, then they can be quite light. For example, this bag I'm wearing weights practically nothing. I'm sure you noticed by now that I'm not exactly a bag lady. I do have a weakness for caramel bags. I feel like they go well with everything.

No, volim torbe u boji karamele.

  2. This is a fun idea and DIY for refreshing any old shoes sitting unworn in your wardrobe! It must have been quite fun to do too - and I'd imagine the acrylic would be quick to dry in the gorgeous weather you enjoy over there!! :)

  25. Nice way to change the look of a pair of shoes - and you can still see some of the original detail show through, so you don't lose the print entirely! :) Lovely outfit as well - the pencil skirt would make this perfect for the office, as would the big tote bag. I always like to take big bags to work!

Hope you are having a lovely start to the week so far.

  27. Dearest Ivana,
you make me happy because I'm not any more the only woman in the bloggerworld who paints her shoes with acrylic colors. In the office where I work zhe collegues look a bit irritated when they see my DIY-shoes (I've red and blue boots and green shoes that I pimped up with Napkin-Decoupage ;-)) They cann't believe it...
Your shoes and your whole outfit look great and I love your chain!
