 You already had the chance to see this fashion illustration on my Instagram  profile  here . This morning I decided to add some finishing touches with a marker. After outlining the jacket on the illustration with a purple maker, I used brush and water to soften the lines a little so that it would match the medium, that is watercolour. I even prepared a little YouTube video to show you how I have done it. Do you prefer the original watercolour illustration or the new one? This is my first official visit to Buna this Autumn, but hopefully it is not my last one. I went there this Saturday, to relax after a rather hectic week. We were fortunate enough to be graced with sunny weather. After a rather gloom and rainy morning, the sun unexpectedly came out just as we arrived there. This was a nice surprise and it basically meant that we could hike to heart's content, which we did.  We spotted a few interesting birds but I'm not sure about their names, I'll have to check it out, all I can say is that I haven't seen them before. This painting is inspired by a poem Blue Elegy . This poem was written by Nikola Milićević (1922- 1999), Croatian poet, translator, journalist and university professor. The medium is blue ink on paper. I painted this one a long time ago, I'm not even sure do I still have this painting. Yesterday, while I was reading An Anthology Of Croatian Poetry in the library, I came across Nikola Milićević. I always loved this poet. Almost as much as I love Vesna Parun. Almost. However, I prefer no one to Vesna. Hers is the poetry that I read most often. I'm in Split and the moment, so it is no wonder that blue is the chosen colour of my thoughts. I almost forgot how beautiful this city is in Autumn. The sea with its magnificent palette of colours: silver, green, brown, yellow and all imaginative shades of blue. The sound that heavy boat ropes make  as they struggle to keep the boats in balance between the sea and the port. A Russian blue (cat) stirs with its paw the water...

There is one thing that I always wondered about. It is a tragedy or a blessing that the world never stops. Sometimes it seems it is a tragedy, but other times, it feels more like a blessing. When something bad happens, you (at least on a subconscious level) except the world to stop, but it never does. I couldn't understand it when I was younger but now that doesn’t bother me anymore. Probably because I stopped expecting the world to help those who need help. I’m old enough to know it doesn’t work that way; it is never fair. The little fairness we manage to infuse into it is a result of hard work.  However, as cheesy as it may sound, human spirit can survive everything. I’ve witnessed it many times.  Witnessed how incredibly strong individuals can be. How they can be support for everyone else even when their life is falling apart. I’ve seen people survive intense trauma and mistreatment and come out of  filled with love and willing to help anyone. If one person can do...
