8 WAYS TO STYLE A WHITE RUFFLED TUNICS: SUSTAINABLE FASHION FILES

Shopping our closets is a great way to be more sustainable. It is something I have always enjoyed doing but as of late, I've also been trying to show you how I do it.  These kind of 'x ways to wear a y' posts can be a good way to introduce fresh styling ideas. Let's get started! An easy way to shop your closet is to choose an item you really like and try to create different outfits with it. I got this white ruffled tunics as a part of a collaboration last summer. Once I figured out that I can wear it both as a dress and a blouse, it quickly became one of my summer favourites. If you are creative enough, you can turn all your dresses into blouses this way (by tucking them in your skirt and eliminating a need for an underskirt or a slip in the process). It is a fantastic way to save up on luggage and closet space  as well.  Another thing I like about this tunics is that it can be worn  two ways: as an off shoulder item and as a regular one. Today I'll show eight ways to wear this tunics. I'm also going to demonstrate to you how you can transition into autumn with a similar item.
1. STYLING A WHITE RUFFLED BLOUSE WITH A BEIGE SKIRT AND ART SANDALS
I wore this outfit for a walk around town. It was such a comfy look. I didn't wore this tunics off shoulder this time, opting to wear it higher on my shoulders. I like how toned down the colours in this outfit are (for me at least). The colourful details on the tunics match well with these printed sandals, though.I bought these art sandals last spring and I plan to wear them as often I can before the summer ends. The white leather bag I'm sporting was a gift. Another thing I loved about this look is my DIY headband. I do enjoy customizing my stuff. It is a great way to make our outfits more unique.

1. WITH A BEIGE MINI SKIRT (MODA IN), A WHITE BAG, DIY HEADBAND AND ART SANDALS
2. STYLING A WHITE TUNICS WITH A DIY NECKLACE, VINTAGE WHITE JEANS, A TOTE BAG AND ART SANDALS
My second outfit proposal is something I wore for an International meeting of youth in Međugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was an amazing event with thousands of people from all over the world and million of viewers. This all white styling has done a great job of keeping me fresh. I've really embraced white and light shades this summer. One thing I would emphasize about this outfit is a necklace I designed and made myself (many years ago). It pays off to be creative and crafty!
2. WITH VINTAGE JEANS, A TOTE BAG AND ART SANDALS
3. STYLING A WHITE RUFFLED TUNICS WITH A DENIM SKIRT
Now, this is an outfit I have already shared with you. You can see how easy it is to transition this tunic into autumn. All I did here was to pair it with a red blazer, a denim skirt and heels. An outfit like this one is appropriate for autumn and spring. As you can see bellow, I had my umbrella with me. If you like this look, you can also have a look at 10 WAYS TO WEAR A RED BLAZER.
3. WITH A RED BLAZER, TIGHTS, HEELS AND AN UMBRELLA
4. STYLING A WHITE RUFFLED TUNICS WITH PINK STILETTOS
The outfit bellow is one of those looks that are so easy to put together. If you want to dress up your  white tunics or dress, all you need is a pair of stilettos. Grab a little clutch and you're ready to go. An outfit like this one would make a great date look. It is easy to transition it as well. Just wear a jacket, a blazer or a coat on top and you're all set for a hot autumn date.

4. WITH PINK HEELS
 5. STYLING A WHITE RUFFLED TUNICS WITH A VINTAGE PLEATED SKIRT
Bellow you can see an outfit I wore for a historical fair in Stolac last May. This would also make for a lovely autumn look as well. Here I paired this white tunics with a vintage maxi skirt, a comfy pair of flats, a second hand scarf, a pair of birch wood earrings and some other jewellery items that were gifted to me by friends.I felt great in this outfit and can see myself repeating it some day.
5. WITH A VINTAGE MAXI SKIRT, COLOURFUL ACCESSORIES AND A SECOND HAND SCARF
 6. STYLING A WHITE RUFFLED TUNICS WITH A FLORAL VINTAGE SKIRT
Another outfit I wore in the past. This floral vintage skirt is actually a part of a set. I love to pair it with this tunics (and other dresses that I wear as blouses). Another thing I like about this outfit is how the brown bag matches my brown sandals. I don't often match my bags with shoes but sometimes it can make an outfit feel more put together. What do you think?
6. WITH A VINTAGE RED SKIRT AND BROWN SANDALS AND BAG
7.  STYLING A WHITE RUFFLED TUNICS WITH A MINT BLAZER AND SNEAKERS
This is another outfit I wore for a walk  (I'm very keen on walking). Bellow you can see me pairing this tunics with black leggings, sneakers and a vintage mint blazer. It was such a comfy look! Transitioning outfits really aren't that difficult. Most of the time, you can get away with recycling your summer outfits. More often than not, all you need to turn your summer outfits into an autumn one is a pair of tights (or leggings), a  nice blazer and appropriate shoes. You don't have to panic and buy everything in the store just because season changes. When in doubt, don't buy. Just remember to buy only those clothing items you are sure you will love and wear. Fast fashion is a habit we must try to break. Personally I haven't bought any autumn pieces yet, and if I end up buying something for autumn/fall, I know I won't go overboard. I'm having too much fun shopping my closet.
7. WITH A VINTAGE GREEN BLAZER AND SNEAKERS
8. STYLING A WHITE RUFFLED TUNICS WITH WHITE JEANS AND A BLUE BAG
I actually wore a very similar outfit to this one recently (see it here), that is why I didn't include it in this post. When I prepare these kind of posts, I try to avoid posting outfits that are too similar because the whole point is trying to show you as many different ways to wear an item as possible. As for the outfit bellow, I wore it for a night out last summer. The combination of this tunics with white jeans is something I really like. Here  and here you can find more ideas for layering tunics with jeans.
8. WITH WHITE VINTAGE JEANS, BROWN SANDALS AND A BEACH BAG
As always, thank you for visiting, commenting and sharing your opinions with me. Let me know what you think about my 'X ways to wear a Y item' posts. Have a great weekend!

  1. Sjajno iskombinovano zaista u svakom slučaju, a moji favoriti su sa crvenom suknjicom i kao haljina sa pink salonkama.

  2. It's such a cute summer dress and you wear it so well! I like it tucked into the skirt to make a top, I do that with my shorter dresses for work often! :)

Hope that you are having a great weekend! We went to a birthday party in the park yesterday which was a lot of fun :)

  8. You have 100% proven that there is no excuse "not having anything to wear"! I love all the various ways you have styled this tunic here for completely different occasions. Just by adding those pair of pink stilettos, you have transformed it into a look for the evening, but with the jeans, it is perfect for running errands or going out to lunch. You have such creativity with your styling :)

  9. What a delightful tunic, Ivana. I love the many ways to wear it you're showing us here. It's absolutely lovely as a blouse too - I especially love it worn with the red vintage skirt. Also, it's amazing worn as a mini dress, as it shows of your fabulous pair of legs! Wishing you a most wonderful week! xxx

    1. thank you dear. I think it looks alright as a mini dress but I'm generally more comfortable with longer skirts so that is why I often wear it as a blouse.
