Outfit of the day / Današnja odjevna kombinacija









The angel wings and the pattern on the jeans I have painted myself (with textile paints). The necklace is my own creation and  to those who follow me (on more or less regular basis)- nothing new. The booties and the bag are old friends as well.  Nothing new, but in a way everything is new. The clothes we wear are never the same for they are a materialization of our intentions, desires and plans- be it subconcious or conscious ones. Sometimes getting dress is an uneasy compromise, sometimes a comfortable and delightful experience. Never just clothes as such. Nevetheless, always different, never quite the same, like ourselves...

Anđelova krila na mom kaputu nacrtala sam sama s tekstilnim bojama ,kao i uzorak na trapericama. Ogrlica je moja vlastita kreacija i onima koji me prate, više ili manje redovito, nije zapravo ništa novo, kao ni cipele i torba. Ništa novo, ali na neki način sve novo... Odjeća je zapravo nešto drugo svaki put kada je obučemo. Materijalizacija naših namjera, želja ili planova. Da, određenih planova i predviđanja.... bili oni svjesni ili podsvjesni. Nikad samo odjeća sama po sebi. Ponekad je odijevanje  neugodan kompromis, a ponekad pak ugodno i divno iskustvo. Nikad isto, uvijek nešto drugo, kao i mi sami...

      ne znam, ja stalno crtam po nečemu pa mi valjda tako i normalno crtati i po odjeći, to sam davnih (tineđerskih )dana radila i s lakom, ali srećom već dugo su mi ( i svima nama) dostupne ove boje za tekstil koje su jako jednostavno za upotrebu i praktične, tako da je sa njima i gušt slikati.

    U tome i jeste poenta, stvarati uvek nešto novo sa onim što već imamo. Meni je to najveći izazov kada je moda u pitanju i nešto o čemu razmišljam otkad znam za sebe :) Divan mi je taj kaput, volim pastelne boje na zimskoj odeći. Ma sve je savršeno! <3

In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own. I think it functions well as a stand alone novella. I listened to it in audio form, and I didn't have any problems following the story.  The world building is simple and effective.
