THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HIGHWAY REST STOP- ODMORIŠTE KRKA

Image
Am I really blogging about a highway stop? Well, I am. It is not just any highway stop, it is one that has the reputation of being something special. It is located in vicinity of national park Krka. This is probably the most beautiful highway rest stop in Croatia.  Generally speaking, new Croatian highways are just fantastic and there are some really lovely rest stops along the way. However, this one tops them all. If you search the Internet, you will see there are many positive reviews on it. Odmorište Krka (translates as Rest Stop Krka) offers some fantastic views.  You can enjoy a spectacular panorama of Skradin town. There is also a nice restaurant and cafe. The whole area is immaculate. If you're taking the highway, this is the place to stop and rest. We took these images back in May, when we visited relatives that live in this area. As always, it was lovely stopping here. We had some coffee, snap some photographs and then we continued on our way.  THE STORY OF MY O...

SPRING STYLING: A WHITE CHERRY PRINT DRESS

Image
Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers. How are you doing? My life lately has been a mix of sad and happy news.  That's just life. Today we'll have a walk in vicinity of Mostar city. First we'll stop by restaurant Ruža that has a sentimental meaning for us.  After all, we'll go for a stroll at Bunica river. You know how much I love Buna recreational area, don't you? My outfit is all about being feminine an girly while staying comfortable. Who says you cannot be smart and comfortable at the same time?  THE STORY OF MY OUTFIT- HOW I WORE THESE ITEMS BEFORE?  Once again I shopped my closet. You can see how I wore this white A-line dress before here ,   here , here  , here,  and here . I think I have worn this dress at least a dozen times so far. A-line dresses are so practical for warm weather. They can be so elegant and chic but at the same time so comfortable. I think I'll hit 30 wears with this dress in no time. Now, when it comes to this navy fla...

FALLING IN LOVE WITH MOSTAR CITY

Image
First of all, special thanks to my husband for taking these wonderful photographs. I have fallen in love with him about the same time I have fallen in love with Mostar city. So, I guess it is appropriate to thank both of them. Mostar city for proving me with a wonderful background to my outfit photographs and my husband for taking the photographs. I always repeat that Mostar city is such a beautiful city, certainly one of the most gorgeous cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I absolutely love how these outfit photographs came out. I quite like the outfit itself. It features some creative spring layering. I'm quite proud of myself for figuring out that I can wear this white tunics under one of my A-line dresses .  It's all about three colours: burgundy, black and white. Sure, there are other colours in this outfit that come in the shape of details on my tunics  (and a bit of pattern with the leopard heels ) but the focus is on these three colours. I think the combination of these...

VISIT KAŠTELA TOWN WITH ME!

Image
Hello dear readers! Today I'm taking you to Kaštela town. This city is located in vicinity of my home town Split city.  The origin of Kaštela town is really interesting. It's composed of different villages that merged into one and with time this complex of villages became a town. Kaštela is composed of seven different settlements (villages).  In fact, Kaštela has been rewarded the status of a town fairly recently. When I was a little girl, Kaštela was a part of Split city, a suburbs of sorts. However, this place has definitely grown. Tourists are starting to discover it as well. Some parts of this city are quite historic. There are beautiful stone castles and houses.  You can also enjoy a beautiful view of Split city and of the islands. You can read more about Kaštela on their offical  Tourist Board site.  Look at those stone houses that seem to grow out of the sea. Isn't that quite something. A famous Croatian painter painted this scene, maybe you have seen it ...

FASHION ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY: SUMMER VIBES

Image
Hello dear readers! I had some technical problems yesterday, so I wasn't able to publish my Friday Fashion Illustration post on time. Therefore, the post shall get published today (fingers crossed because my computer froze on me again while I was writing this post). Anyhow, today's post is going to be all about summer vibes. We're going to hang out on my balcony for a bit. Do you see these fashion illustrations I'm holding in the first picture? I actually already shared some of these before, but in the meantime I decided to cut them out. I remember making and then playing with this type of DIY  'paper Barbie dolls' when I was little, so why not do it today and keep up the fashion tradition? I think I mentioned quite a few times on this blog that fashion illustration was something I did even when I didn't know what it was called. I used to always doodle outfits in my notebooks (and even handbooks). I remember doing fashion illustrations in Paint on my old co...
