Illustrating a Runaway Look From Miu Miu Autumn Winter 2018 Collection (Fashion Illustration of the Day: Watercolour)

Image
Today I'm sharing with you a new fashion illustration of mine. The medium is pencil and watercolour on paper. I illustrated a look from Miu Miu Autumn Winter 2018 collection. Miuccia Bianchi Prada is a very talented designer and I for one have always loved her designs. Perhaps the devil does wear Prada (who knows?), but that shouldn't stop us from admiring this brand. Miuccia's collections never disappoint, but this one was particularly eye-catching. This Miu Miu collection was so bold and beautiful that I simply had to illustrate a look from it. I opted to illustrate this black midi dress with a bold yellow lettering. Scroll down if you want to see the painting process and read my thoughts on this collection.  Illustrating this dress was a lot of fun. I'm really not an expert when it comes to watercolour, I'm much more knowledgeable about oil and acrylic paints but I'm going to share my painting process just in case someone is interested. 11 Ways To Style a Dusty Pink Skirt For Spring (Inspiration For Both Warm and Cold Spring Days)

Image
Spring is in the air. Maybe not quite literally. As I explained, we have snow in the air right now, but it doesn't matter. The calendar says that Spring is here and I want to believe the calendar. So, here are 12 ways to style a pink dusty skirt. I think most of these tips can be applied to any pink skirt really, but I choose dusty pink for a reason. The reason is that I have one dusty pink skirt in my closet that I wear all the time. I must have worn it for a hundred times. I think I only paid something like ten euros for it. Best purchase ever! I wore this skirt with everything, from high heels to sneakers. I wore it when I went hiking and I wore it for weddings. It's one versatile skirt. Makes me think I need more dusty pink items. Who knows maybe I even have some in my closet? I need to look for them. Bottom line is that by wearing a certain clothing item often, learning how to restyle it in different ways we can end up shopping less often and being less wasteful. Shoppi...

Illustrating a Catwalk Look From Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2018 Collection (Fashion illustration of the Day: Watercolour)

Image
Today I'm back with a new fashion illustration. Once again, the medium is watercolour and pencil on paper. Once again, I'm not sure will I make any alternations, but I wanted to share this one as it is. I can always change it up a little bit if I want to. Plus, this is a pretty good way to show you what caught my eyes the most when we're talking about collections. I mean if I illustrated something, then you know it caught my eye, right? This time I illustrated a runaway look from Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2018 collection. How do you like it?  I absolutely love this look. I think this was my first time illustrating one of Stella McCartney's designs but I do love her work. In my view, she is an absolutely original designer and I do respect that. Stella McCartney's not only creative, she is also a very environmentally friendly designer. She always makes sure that her collections are sustainable and I do admire that. Sustainability in fashion is important!...

My Fashion Illustration of the Day (Watercolour on paper, Illustrating a Look from Chanel Autumn/Winter 2018/2019 Ready-To-Wear Collection Worn by Kaia Gerber))

Image
Time for another fashion illustration of mine. This time I  illustrated by a catwalk look. As I told you, recently I finally got the change to catch up with some of the collections I wanted to see. Last Saturday I have spent an entire day watching fashion shows and illustrating looks that caught my eye the most. Now, it's time to show you some of them and why not start with this one?  This look was worn by Kaia Gerber in Chanel Autumn/Winter 2018/2019 Ready To Wear Collection. It is a wonderful design to illustrate. The dress itself is very elegant and classical. Black lace dress is always a nice choice. The accessories for this look are very interesting,  an oversize rose pink bag with a print and long gloves in a hot pink shade. Do you like it? Have you had the chance to see this  collection yet? If yes, how did you like it? The medium for this one is pencil and watercolour on paper. I'm not sure will I keep the outline I made with the penc...

Transitional Outfit : How To Style a Red Vintage Dress? (Sunny Spring Day Outfit Proposal #1)

Image
Today I'm sharing with you a transitional outfit. I paired this red vintage dress with black leggings. I didn't wear a coat because the dress is warm enough on its own (at least it was on a very sunny day I wore it). Vintage dresses often come with under dresses and this one is no exception, so that makes them warmer for obvious reasons. I did wear leggings with this one,  because for my taste it is still not time to go bear legged. I opted for pink heels, because I like how pink and red looks together. How do you like this transitional outfit?  This red vintage dress used to be belong to my aunt. She gave it to me a few years ago. Last (and only time) I wore it on this blog was back in 2015 ( here ). I adore it. The cut is simply divine, and the colour is so eye-catching. The reason why I don't wear it often is because I'm afraid that I might damage it. It is such a beautiful vintage dress, though. I'm happy that I can call this f...

Rainy Days Outfit Proposal #2 ( How To Wear A Side Braid?)

Image
Here comes another outfit proposal for rainy days. The gorgeous building behind me was build in 1898. I'm always enthusiastic about historical building and if I remember well, with this one it was love at first sight. Besides being my favourite historical building in Mostar, this place is also one of Mostar's high schools known as Old Gymnasium or Mostar Gymnasium. In addition, within this building (apart from this high school/gymnasium) you can also find United Worlds College. UWC describes itself as a global movement for education and they have collages all over the world. I'm not sure about how many students this UWC collage has, but the students seem to come from all parts of the world, a really mixed bunch, so I imagine that studying in such an international institution must be fun. The reason why I often hang out here is another institution and that's American corner. First thing that any bookworm does when he or she moves to a new town is to find out where a...
