What do you do when you feel like drawing but you run out of paper?....draw on what you have at hand. Illustrating on book pages is certainly not a new concept, but I think this illustration was my first conscious work of this sort. I did draw on books before, but it was more doodles than anything else. Moreover, I usually did it absentmindedly. This time I just thought to myself- why not? So, I made this fashion illustration with markers. This lovely lady is wearing a strapless heart shaped pink gown. I wouldn't mind having something like this in my closet. Actually I just remember that I bought a similar dress once. Unfortunately, the quality was so bad that I never wore it out of the house. As soon as I brought it home, I saw that purchasing it was a mistake. The sticking was terrible and the dress was practically transparent. That is the last time I'm trying something on in a shop that doesn't have proper lighting and mirrors. A lesson was learned there. Never shop in ...

It was quite cold when these photographs were taken, but I still thoroughly enjoyed my visit to these waterfalls. This outfit is very similar to the last one I posted, the only thing different is this faux fur coat. This coat is usually enough to keep me warm, but since it was really freezing that day, it didn't really do the job. Not its fault, though. I should have layered this look better. Next time I will wear an additional layer of clothing, perhaps a jacket of some kind. Now, I'll just touch briefly on this stunning location. I usually try to keep my posts shorter on the weekend. POST UPDATE: ANOTHER PAINTING  I know I have shared this painting before, but in the meantime I decided that it is not really finished, hence I  added a few finishing touching. Here is my final version. Maybe. Who knows? Perhaps I will decided that I need to fix it up again. I quite like this face. It looks friendly. Interesting how some paintings seem to have a life of their own. Speaking of which.... How has life treating you lately? I still haven't gave up on multitasking while I'm drying my hair (because my hair is so thick I need to kill time). Remember how I told you how  I accidentally dropped a book in the sink while I was drying my hair ( here )? Fortunately, the book had solid covers, so it wasn't damaged.  Tonight I did it again, just without dropping the book. Hello everyone! Today just a quick post. I would like to recommend this edition to you. It is known as 'The Finca Virgia edition'. As the title of it would suggests, it contains the complete short stories of Ernest Hemingway. The famous forty nine stories? They're all there. In addition, this book contains unfinished novels by Hemingway. So, it is a very complete edition, it even has a  foreword written by Hemingway's sons. I borrowed this edition from the library. I'm not sure will I buy it, because I have soooo many books, perhaps some day I will.  I actually returned this book to the library before I managed to read it cover to cover. Basically, I didn't managed to read his unfinished writings, perhaps because I don't really like unfinished literary pieces- it feels too much like a teaser. I will have to read his unfinished novels some other time. I'm really happy I read almost all of his short stories because now I have a feeling that I got such a...
