It's time for another DIY post! Refreshing a vintage blazer with textile paints seemed like a good idea at the time. Before I decide for sure whether it was a good idea or not I need to wear it first. What do you think? Heart pattern is one of my favourite one, so the choice of the pattern was a non brainer. Time for another 'Postcards from Dalmatia' feature on my blog. It's been a while since I've shared by photographs ( if we don't count a handful of those that end up in outfit posts if the scenery is interesting enough). In Croatian Poljica  can be translated as 'little fields'. Nomen est omen? In fact, there are many small fields surrounding  this charming little village located on the island of Hvar. It is not to be confused with Republic of Poljica  which was an autonomous republic ( known also as peasant's republic ) within Croatia in the middle ages and had its own statute written in 1440 (one of the most important Croatian historical legal statutes).  That Poljica or that place (it  is not just one village but about 20 of them and people living in them still meet regularly to selected their ruler in a traditionally democratic way but nowadays for symbolic reasons) is located in Dalmatia, but o...

Once again I'm fascinated by an idea of a maxi dress worn in this period. I know it might not be that practical (especially when it rains) but it is something I find visually interesting. This blue maxi from my imagination in my mind's eye is paired with a green coat (because I love how these two colours look together) and some beige faux fur (that may or may not be a part of the coat). The maxi bag is brown with red accents. The make up is dominated by a bold red lip. The eyelashes are stressed (whether by false lashes or a very good mascara- feel feel to give it your own interpretation). The hairdo is a casual braid and the shoes are pointy flats. Još jednom sam zaokupljena idejom duge haljine nošene u ovom periodu. Znam da to baš i nije najpraktičnije (pogotovo kada pada kiša), ali je to nešto što mi je vizualno zanimljivo. Plava duga haljina iz moja mašte u mojoj mašti je usklađena s zelenim kaputom (jer volim kako te dvije boje izgledaju zajedno) i malo bež umjetnog krzna ...

charming duck family / divna pačja obitelj The weather is suprising warm for this time of year so I opted for this vintage blazer ( I did borrow this belt from a coat so in some way a coat was part of this look) ...a very comfortable outfit with  enought colour to make little me happy.... Vrijeme je začuđujuće toplo za ovo doba godine tako da sam umjesto kaputa obukla ovaj vintage sako (pojas je posuđen s kaputa tako da nije posve izostavljen)...jako udobna odjevna kombinacija s dovoljno boja da me usreće....
