 Hello! In this post I'll review  Foundation and Empire , a novel by Isaac Asimov. Regular readers of my blog will know that I'm quite fond of this author.  The Foundation by Isaac Asimov is possibly one of the best known book series in science fiction and was awarded multiple awards (including a special Hugo Award for Best All time Series in 1966). It has recently been adapted as a TV series. So far this 2021 adaptation has met with positive reviews. However, I won't talk about the adaptation (because I haven't seen it yet) but about one of the original books. Besides, books are more my area of expertise.  Not that I would mind posting a movie or a series review now and then. Hello! In this post I'll share a book review and an outfit/location post with you. So, basically some of my favourite subjects to blog about: clothes (fashion), places (travel) and books (literature).  I actually wore this outfit today, these photographs   were taken  (by my husband)  this afternoon. We were blessed with wonderfully sunny and warm weather. As for the book, I'll review A Provincial Romance or A Romance of Provinces  (1960) by Korel Filipowicz (1913- 1990). This was my first book by this Polish author. I came across an old edition at my home some time ago. I finished  reading this micronovel  pretty quickly. I was immediately drawn to the story and I loved the way it was written.  It's always great to discover a new author, someone we haven't read before be it a historical or contemporary  author- it doesn't matter, both can be new to us personally). Who says we cannot dress colourfully once the weather gets colder? If you like colour, there is no reason why you shouldn't wear colour in Autumn and Winter. Today I'm showing you two things: how to wear colour and how to layer your outfits for cold weather. As you can see, there are a couple of layers to my outfit. First there is this pastel blue Amadeus dress I bought in summer. Speaking of this dress,  here is an idea- why not wear your summer dresses in Autumn as well? I loved wearing this dress during the summer, so I decided to wear it this Autumn as well. The obvious solution is layering. First layer is the icy blue dress and the turquoise tights. Tights are a must for me once weather gets cold. My second layer is the scarlet red blazer. Blazers are a great idea if you want to keep your outfits elegant but still add another layer.  Hello! Today I'll let you take a peak in my A4 mixed media sketchbook (by brand royal talens, not sponsored in any way). I know a lot of people like to take a peak into an artist sketchbook, so I'm giving you a chance to do exactly that- at least digitally. This time around, I'll show you a few beach acrylic paintings. I suppose you could also call them my sea studies. When I have some left over paint, I usually end up painting seascape. I'm sure you noticed by now that I love to paint the sea. Indeed, the sea is an eternal inspiration for me. All of these paintings were inspired by Croatian seaside and Adriatic sea, but  not by any specific place. You could say that I painted these paintings from memory. I didn't use a reference for any of them. The time I spend on them varies, depending on how much layers and details I added.
