TRAVEL WITH MY ART #21: STARI GRAD, ISLAND HVAR

Image
Hello dear readers! How are you doing? Today it's time for another TRAVEL WITH MY ART post and that means I'll share a new acrylic panting with you. Like most of my art in this series, this painting is a seascape. You guys know that sea is one of main sources of inspiration for me.  Moreover, island Hvar is often a subject of my paintings. This one is no exception. This painting was inspired by photographs taken last April near hotel Arkada, Stari Grad city (island Hvar). Like the last painting in my series,  this acrylic painting was done on mixed media paper in  A4 format is. Therefore, it's neither a large painting nor a very detailed one. TWO MORE WAYS TO WEAR A LONG SLEEVED GREY DRESS (SPLIT CITY)

Hello readers! How are you doing? I came back to Split city (for work reasons) last Friday. I'm not sure how long I will stay here, it depends entirely on my work contract. Naturally, I'm always happy to be back in my beautiful home town. It seems I'm not the only one, as there still are tourists around. Anyhow, today I will show you two more ways to style this simple long sleeved grey dress. I've had this comfortable 'bellow the knee' dress for a few years and on overall found it really practical. I love that it is an item that can be worn all year around and that is exactly what I did. In a recent post, I showed you three ways to wear this grey dress.   In this post from 2020, I showed you additional  thirteen ways to style it and in this post from 2021 two more  winter outfits with it. I also wore this grey dress  with a faux fur coat while I shared some reading recommendations. I think I'm getting close to 30 wears with this one and that's great b...

Hello readers and visitors of this little digital place to call my own. As you  know, I like to promote fashion sustainability on my blog. There are many ways to be more sustainable.  One of them is shopping one's closet (something I always enjoyed). That may be why I like to put together these posts where I show you X ways to wear a item. Sometimes the number is 30, sometimes it is higher or lower. Anyhow regardless of how high or low the number of wears is, I find these posts worth sharing. Why I'm mentioning number 30? I do it because it is a sort of reference point for 'green fashion'. The basic idea is that you need to wear an item at least 30 times to make it sustainable. 30 wears challenge is this great movement that tries to promote fashion sustainability and reducing our carbon imprint by challenging us to wear an item 30 times. I think this idea is great because it promotes shopping our closet and making the most out of what we have. I think it is important (...
